looks fecking awesome man. I love the scuff marks
The revolver metal looks a bit too glossy to my eye. If the reflection was blurrier and stronger at 0 degrees it might help it along.
I actually like the texturs ("actually" what douchbag this sltrOlsson guy), i think it looks like something you would use and actually take care of. Not throw in the sand and shit on. But i also think that the material definition is kinda strange on the handle. It looks like plastic, like new plastic. And a wooden wear to it.
The tape around the gun, and the area immediately around the tape stands out against how weathered the rest of the gun is.
If you've got tape on anything, if it's moved or touched over time, such as drawing and holstering the revolver, you're going to see a certain kind of wear on the tape.
Some edges of the tape will be peeled back, and have the sticky underside showing, with that adhesive catching all sorts of dirt and grit. Likewise, you can have indications that this wasn't the first thing taped to the barrel by having slight cleaner spots along the barrel, with perhaps a few spots of dirty adhesive still left on it.
I love the texture work pedro!, but now im afraid that theres a modeling/proportion error..
The drum that holds the bullets seems to be too small, it doesn't even align properly with the barrel, I know its a bitch to notice this now, but to fix it you would have to make the drum wider and adjust the "hears" that cover the back side of it from the frame.
1. wood grain on spec and gloss... WHY?? the pattern wouldn't affect the glossiness or the specularity on any kind of real wood, and certainly not a finished, glossy wood. a newbie mistake, but a 10 minute fix.
2. funny crevice grime shapes here. looks almost like the sponge filter.
3. how would this scuff get here? it's such a broad shape and that area is blocked by the cylinder and the grip, so i don't know how such a big area would get scuffed. besides, it looks oddly pixelated and low-res anyway.
4. odd X shaped scratch, doesn't flow with anything and looks wacked from the FPS view.
5. questionable placement of this scratch for the same reason as 3. it's a really nice shape though, and it may be worth it to move this nearer to an edge.
this is a REALLY nice asset though and just some minor tweaks would make it look exceptional. the shader setup is fantastic, the bake is outstanding and most of the overlays are well chosen. just a few things would push it over the top.
Mmmmmmmmmh... Lovely lovely lovely.. If you are going to get into this again and check the stuff Racer445 talked about you should add some small scratches were the hinge is..

Try out marmoset too.
You can do much better man, keep pushing it. do it do it.
what's with all the grey shadows
maybe black or grey would be nicer
just wondering why you picked red?
i vote yes!
Too many greentooths getting shoved into random assets these days.
That looks to be a specular highlight

On serious note, Amazing work sir. Just amazing.

Just tweak those reflections on the wood material!

Can't believe you included oil/smudges from the skin of the hand on the grip.
A pic the demonstrate
that wood drives me nuts looking like polished plastic
you're near the end i think though
Yes, there are few glitches but that doesn't rule over your work.
AWESOME PEDRO !
