I've extended the megabridge though the spawn point (and rerouted it from my mines) and I've started laying out rails along the entire length.
I've added a few stops with buttons to start your journey, if you want a stop outside your house that's attached to the track, either add a stop yourself or just dig up the track and place a block there and I'll add a stop.
Oh, and obviously feel free to connect to the bridge. It also needs extending....
Those creepers are a boon in disguise. 6 and I were hanging out around front of my place, a creeper snuck up and blew up in front of me... turns out there's a HUGE underground cave system right under my place, so now I've got a custom-entrance to it.
Haha, I was busy filling the hole in and didn't notice you trying to dig it out at first.
@ Tyler - I build the railway , not sure where to take it next - it works both directions with boosters down to you where you want your end to go haha.
Ah - I thought I put them back in the dispenser, I had an accident with a bucket and had to rebuild the track but forgot which were mine and which were yours. Meant to post here. :poly122:
I was trying to test the track out when the bucket emptied instead of getting out of the cart, I was frantically chasing the water down the entire length of the shaft but to no avail. I then got killed by a slime and had to walk back across the map to try fix it.
I killed the slimes, got the stuff back and rebuilt the track, but yeah, I may have missed some stuff. Sorry again! I'll build some more and leave them in the station chest.
yeah this is rediculous... no ones going to play if it keeps on kicking you off... i played for five minutes then... but there were holes in the world (like no world not even the underground spaces), couldnt interact with anything... and then got kicked off three times....No point playing really
ok, the issue was the server was just running too long. I've turned it off, making white list additions, then gonna reboot the server then restart minecraft.
the server is back to running properly. Sorry about that. real life had distracted me for a bit. if it rolls over like that, send me a msg in one of the various social medias. If I can I'll reboot it immediately, if not asap. if i'm sleeping, you are gonna be esohel :P
got all additions to the whitelist made that i could find. if i missed one, ask again, as i dont search back past these updates.
Dayumn Scrawld and I just found this huuuuuuge ass cave, and after following it for quite long we stumbled into this really a-logical mine underneath the upside-down pyramid. Was fun
Minecraft Beta 1.6
This update requires both a client and a server update.
Changelist:
1.6:
New features:
+ Added Nether support to multiplayer
+ The client will ask minecraft.net if the current login is valid. If the server says “no”, a warning message appears in the client. You can still play the game even if this happens.
+ Added craftable maps
+ Added hatches
+ Added tall grass in some biomes
+ Mushrooms now spreads (very) slowly
+ Added server property view-distance. Sets the radius of terrain updates (in chunks) to send to the players. Range 3-15, default 10.
+ Added dead shrubs in deserts
+ Added allow-nether (set to true or false) in server.properties
+ Blocks destroyed by other players in multiplayer now shows the breaking block particle effect
+ Doors make sound for other players in multiplayer
+ The record player now supports more than 15 different songs (you can’t get the records yet, though)
+ Activated dispensers make sounds and trigger particles in multiplayer
+ Players stuck in walls will slide towards the nearest gap if there is one
Changes:
* Disabled Advanced OpenGL until we can fix some bugs with it
* It’s no longer possible to build solid blocks on the top layer of the maps (sorry!)
* Made booster tracks speedier
* Severely nerfed fire so it spread slower, and doesn’t spread infinitely
* Seeds are now found in tall grass, using a hoe on the ground no longer works
* Compressed network traffic more agressively
* Blocks that don’t change appearance when the data changes don’t send block updates when their data changes now
* Arrows shot by players can now be picked up by all players
* Nothing riding anything or being ridden by anything can enter portals
just logged on, parts of the world were missing and then I relogged back on again and i'm floating with a bunch of pigs. updated to the newest client, anyone else having issues? Also, if anyone could kindly guide me to where my modest castle is that would be great. someone kindly poured lava on my spawn point and finding my place has been quite an adventure. been a month and still can't find it.
oobersli: if you are missing large chunks of the world, its your client. reboot java locally if you know how, or just restart your machine and try again.

BTW - It plays a tune as you arrive in station 6.

Also, I'm still irked I'll need stuff from the netherrealm just to have a proper fireplace. :P

This is dropbox, so the link will stay valid for a few weeks at least. but once i nuke it, its gone. so get it if you think you might even want it.
whitelist additions will happen soon, also some cartography.
got the server backing up daily as well so if we go boom for some reason, we'll have some ability to rollback.
Username: pigdog04
javascript error? Yah, pretty damn frequently..
The server generally seems empty compared to before.. maybe one or two other people on at any given time.
got all additions to the whitelist made that i could find. if i missed one, ask again, as i dont search back past these updates.
Nether in SMP... and maps! :poly142:
We'll need to make a few Nether forts. :poly122:
Really? Notch hasn't said anything on his blog about it coming out next week. As far as I know it's release date is still "not soon". o_o
