thanks everyone! Wrappin up the old blue punk clown... thing. I don't know. Probably do one more pass before I call it done, open to feedback. Not sure about the hair or shoulders...
nfrrtycmplx - why has this not happened yet?!
daphz - hah, yes, get together with nifrrtxmplsokxlx, talk to some people and make this happen... it would surely make all the moneys.
endomi - thanks!
did a study of this badass sketch by Jeff Simpson. Colors are polypaint, did the hair in photoshop because I burned out on the thing before I could get to that.
sltrOlsson - Thanks, yeah I agree about the detail, did another quick pass and callin it done now
Nizza - heh true that.... I need a ps plugin called "jeffsimpsonify". And while we're at it I need one called "BlueFlyify" and "Velinovify"
callin the jeff simpson head done... and I decided to do an acrylic version of that skull warmup doodle. Not sure if it's done, the bottom area feels kinda unfinished... eh
swiz - shoot me a pm and lets make a deal... theys pretty much all for sale
daphz - haha yeah, I actually was gonna do an upside down cross there till I remembered that was your tag. Well played.
why sleep when you could be sculpting? Circadian rhythm got shit on caffeine.
I would really like to see you do a "real" texture job in photoshop. I feel like your polypainting isnt doing your models OR you painting skills(which you obviously have) justice.
ferg, your stuff in this thread and your sketchbook threads are just mindblowing, you have amazing amazing creativity that always shows man its awesome!!!! huge inspiration bro! keep it up!
d1ver: hah thanks, I like your interpretation of the face better than nizza's
fuxer: thanks dude, big fan of your stuff too
JG: thanks, and you're right, I probably should take the time to texture one of these all the way... buuuut that falls into the same category as doing a full character, and we all know how well that's been workin out.
Jungsik: thanks, dem paints are my escape when the pixels hurt my eyes
Gibson: Thanks man
Nizzla: haha... I guess that's what I get for using my mirror for expression ref. Also, awesome that yer throwin paints, but pics or it didn't happen :poly142:
callin him done... lots I'm not happy with but it's definitely overripe at this point
HntrLuc: Word dude, love your works btw
Swizzle: Hah, Norron speaks the truth, that program is harder to figure out than the craziest ex-girlfriend you've ever had.
Norron: cheers man
tons left to do, eventually I'd like to get this thing 3d-printable and give it a neat little stand.
konstruct: ??!!!":":%$#%#<3
Mike: Haha, I think it was originally supposed to be an artificial alien skull... thing.
Nizzla: haha, well the thing is on hold for now... but you'll be the first to know when it's ready to be fondled.
makecg: thanks
Uly:
Makkon: I'd love to, but thats going to require levels of motivation that I've yet to reach.
Charger: Haha, awesome, of all the tom waits songs, that's the one I'd most like to be compared to
finally started the fabled anatomy study... plenty left to fix but I'm sick of staring at it for now. Invisible cookies for anyone who can guess who's basemesh I stole for this...
nizzla: Heh, figured she might get cold, what with all the nakedness.... least I could do. And the laziest cheat to not have to model hair.
bisse123: Thanks man, much flattering
sltrOlsson: Hah thanks man, I like the low boob resolution too, for some reason. I need a new computer so I can sculpt smooth boobs.
Aaaaand I am now officially burnt out on zbrush. My newest zpoop.... my roommate demanded I sculpt him as a centaur, so I did, but I added a bug dude disguise on top. Also, alpha stamps + masking = instant easy sexiness. Def recommend downloading the alpha library from zbrush central.
yeah, colors were the last step, was gettin pretty tired of it by then and chose the most common insect monster color scheme I could think of. Crits always very welcome
Makkon: Deal, but only if you show me around your sketchbook and how u make dem pictures
Callin suckface done... which pretty much wraps up all my zbrush projects, aside from the nude study. Gonna take a little break from 3D and spend some quality time with my paints now....

sexy skin wrinkley details, polypaint turned out pretty cool too (tho think you'd have to overpaint it in ps to get the jeffsimpsony look )

duuuuude that painting is sick! I love the inverted star I see what you mean about the bottom feeling unfinished though

Your now officially in my top 10 of most inspiring 3d artists.
It's very nice to see an ACTUAL good looking human being on the board, for once!
Love how the boobs are kinda pixelated from the topology ^^
