With that branch diffuse, did you use a photo ref, or model and texture the branches/leaves and then render out a flat ortho view to use as a texture on the alpha cards?
The characters looking good, I love how the clothing on the upper body has a real sense of thickness, for heavy, warm fabric.

i used my friend photorefs & lots of handpainting/cltaning etc. initially they were made for tree model, but they were too dirty to be released as texture. normals were made by crazybump
What exactly is modified? just asking because i don't see what the cryengine can't do.
Would love to know it.
light/shadow rendering algorythms, texture rendering (modified parallax) and so on. applied different optimization techniques of overall engine performance. lot's of bugs & glitches were corrected too
So, you said that you did all of it with some help from friends. Are you working like a team, or are they just backing you up here and there? :P Looks freaking AWESOME! I'm drawling over here!! I demand MOAR!!!

day by day we're working more like a team that bunch of supporting friends. so, yes - we work like a team right now
Can you talk about the gameplay? How will it be like? Personally I'd hope something relatively realistic, considering the game world looks so realistic. So no crosshairs or anything like that, proper weapon functionality and damage, realistic player movement (I think Crysis had good player movement) so that you can't zigzag like a bunny.

nice color mood, everything holds together well, good work trainfender! But I agree with neox on the year, although you just gave an explanation, might be a good idea to suggest the time in a more graphical way. Because unless you ve mentioned that I wouldn t realize.
meh, i think that much color deestroys the mood. Fantastic stuff by the way.
There's Not A Real World Without Colors ! :poly142:
You can always find some reste of paint even at " a post nuclear world " ,... if it's Not an environement completely burned and that's not the case.

This is some really impressive stuff! I'm usually for saturated envs. But it shouldn't be very colorful just for the sake of it IMO. In this case I think the desaturated look work very well, especially since it's stayed away from the usual desaturated brown/beige that is SO common.
I absolutely love the outside shots where you can see all the depth the tree layers add!

you're totally right
you're totally right again but i must say it'll be some hardcore realistic action for sure

Looking at his 'folio, it would seem so;
Is there no end to this mans talent?!
*gets motivated to get working and quit slacking off*
Nice work.
I got one grip with your walls. The holes in them are too smooth....

thanks to all of you for your replies btw
it's not a core modification, but lots of modsdk code changes
