that mechanic render is great wi_2, nice work. You're at your best when you can channel that soft, charcoal like quality in your renders-- the transitions from light to shadow are nicely done.
Sorry for re-showing by a quote but I really like this! Just though I'd let you know Also I don't know if you read David Gemmell but if you swapped out the claws for swords this guy would be an awesome representation of Skilgannon the Damned! You mind if I save this into my inspiration file?

Pretty amazing work from I'd say - everything is very believable. Do you paint in Photoshop from scratch, if so what blending method do you use when painting?

@Wake - Yes, most of the new stuff is studies from ref.. I'm all about that stuff right now, learning loads and loads I can feel it!
