Well I actually got an AO bake to work for the lei, the hat was giving me the same problem as the axe so I kinda faked it. For now, this is done, if I have more time I will tweak the texture of the hat. Now I gotta work on the axe texture and unwrap the flare gun
Thanks, haha yeah I kinda feel like the beachcomber is the weakest link in this pack. Do you think I should submit it anyway since it fits with the pack? Or do you think its a make it or break it kind of thing?

I think the hat would look better if the brim wasn't sticking straight up. But considering how little time you have left, I'd suggest scrapping the hat and finishing the texture on the Tiki Torcher.

And texture progress on the Tiki Torcher. I'm not too sure about the flower on the bump map, though I may add more to even it out and add some grain to it as well. And I'm gonna add some more to the coconut 'fur' as well
Yep, it should fit the default animation fine, I made sure the barrel/tiki and the part under it were modeled somewhat the same as the regular flare gun.
Submitting the hat separately seems like a good idea.

Burns might be hard to pull off on the Lei. Someone else made a gardening hat for Pyro with burns on it, including on a flower, but it just didn't look right.
I say keep it plain pretty flowers. A last minute idea for the Tiki Torcher texture: a burn around the end of the barrel of the gun.
I wonder what kind of crazy stats Valve will think up for your items if/when they get in.

It'll be done in a couple hours at most. To be honest it's not all that great. If I hadn't taken up too much time I would have made it better but I kinda screwed myself over on that.
Still, your pack looks great man. Although I really need to introduce you to the magic that is UVLayout one of these days.

I would personally submit the Beachcomber's Hat to the Contribute page and keep just the axe, flaregun and lei for the contest.
Tiki Torcher is probably the best name for the flaregun.
