I sorta agree, but not fully.
When I voted for the brown hat, it was because I wasn't aware of the Bonk theme :O
So I do think one of the older hats would work better, with some changes to it to make it more interesting :S
In all honesty, I liked the brown one the most because it looked the least plain.
I think this could work, if it was made to look more like a baseball cap with the side things looking more like some plastic things the Bonk company attached to it. To make it look more like Bonk merchandise.
"Holy s*** f****** awesome stuff, gotta drink some f****** BONK! and f****** collect those f****** caps and send them for f**** sake and where the f*** do I get all those caps from?! S*** I ONLY HAVE CANS?!" Can Imagine Scout saying that when reading about these items after too much BONK! Nice work!

As for the soda pack, looks closer or read, the Scout uses the crit-a-cola pack's rubber band to fix his broken FaN.

Keep in mind this is not a render nor ingame, its just a constant shader with baked difuse+ ambien occlusion, i am submiting the obj and texture as extra item for the pack on the contribute page, might post a render and a new presentation tomorrow, i am too tired now
No it doesn't need more AO the blue part is plastic like the batter's helmet i also have a specula rmap which here is not applied.

I am trying to compile the models to get it ingame and submit as a fix (i only submited tga + obj)
But i can't get the hat to compile fine, it just doesn't show up in the model viwer?? any idead what i might be doing wrong?
Yeah working on it, the helmet team color is not working, i am sure its just the freaking compiler doing it wrong, the hats do not have .ctx files so i can force it to have team color change
Recompiled final version of the items, i believe ia m having some serious normal/tagent issues, the models have some quite strange shading, the shadows on the FaN are terrible...
I have exported the models to obj from softimage then imported the decompiled SMD and import my obj to replace it on Milkshape, then export back to SMD to compile.
Hi, quick suggestion, I think you should rename the hat to "The Flash", and just to make sure, is the Soda Popper going in your entry? It is (in my opinion) the best fan/scattergun replacement in the contest

@Blants yeah the FaN replacement is on the pack too, though i got some big issue getting is compiled it isn't shading properly might be my modeling(which i rushed a bit due to lack of time) or exporting the model something got wrong, you can see that in the lastest screenshots (especially on the first person view) wreid shadows errr...
As for the hat name i have alread submited it and again for fixes i think i am going to keep it "bonk'n'flash" because i like it and i don't want to submit again the item, might bother Valve xD
