MORE DETAILS:
Here's the basic idea: it's Summathyme, but Mann Co. only offers 3 company approved vacation packages: a Camping Trip, a Cruise, and a Beach Resort.
So basically, it's 9 packs, 1 for each class, 3 for each theme.
Camping Theme:
Soldier- "The Bullmoose"
*rough rider/scoutmaster dealie.
Scout- "Canteen Boy"
*boy scout. heh, pun.
Spy- "Tenderfoot"
*Frenchman in the wilderness. can't think of a good hat for this one, but I have a few rough ideas...
Cruise Theme:
Sniper- "Terror of the Deep"
*this was the Shark set I posted a while ago
Pyro- "The Aquatic Arsonist"
*old school diving gear.
Medic- "Untersee Ubermensch"
*Jaques Cousteau themed set.
Tropical Island Theme:
Heavy- "The Big Kahuna"
*tropical Hawaii tiki tiki funtime.
Engineer- "The Professor"
*think The Professor from Gilligan's Island. lots of coconuts.
Demoman- "The Restless Native"
*a tribal native themed set
and there you have it. every set has atleast one hat and atleast one weapon.
also, two all-class misc items.

Hey Guys, I had some friends help me out with the geometry errors I was getting and now Im back on track. Ive got to get the spec map in but Id say Im pretty close to done. What do you guys think?

It's a bit realistic i know, i'm just looking for an attitude but i'm not satisfied and beeing a poor sculptor, i hit my limits.

ok just some slight tweaking more and then ill be ready to texture, gotta fix dat clipping. also does anyone know why the arrow goes to the side of the bow like that it third person? do i need a view and world model?
The parrot looks great. I particularly like the cockatoo. The jiggle boned animation still feels a bit odd though. I wonder if you could kind of counterweight the bones in the head so that when the movement happens they'd tilt the head to keep it upright, rather than lolling around on the neck as it does now. It might take a few bones, but it seems like something that would be possible with a bit of fiddling and would go a long way to making him look more like a live animal rather than a floppy rag doll bird.
Just had a spare moment to jump back in and finish a piece I've been kicking around. It's still a WIP, but I've gotten much closer thanks to Habboi's help.
I'm considering scaling it up about 5%.

Though the big cover piece still feels empty I'm sure it would come out nicely in 3D. I can come up with any kind of attachment if it doesn't look right. I've already been contacted about this concept
I'm going to drop the number of tris on this. I opened a couple of hats in HLMV and didn't think it was too bad, then saw 1000 was the recommended and now I'm sad. Anyway, I did a poster.
Photo tagline? It was originally 'add bite to your bullets', but Demo doesn't have bullets... and wasn't sure 'add bite to your bombs' had the right ring to it.
Noors - Sole Mate seems most appropriate . Even though it isn't sole, they do look inseparable together. And it is sucking on his soul. So yeah.

I wudn't worry about the tri count, it's just a recommandation, and the density on your mesh is ok.

yep, also would be good to have the wires hookup on hte other side to add detail to that side, since on a lot of guns there is almost no detail on the side that doesn't have the shell ejection.
partially because most things on a gun make more sense to have on the left side so you can access them with your thumb or left hand, and also due to FPS games where you olny ever get to use the left side easily.
The problem about making a shotgun for the medic is that there are not animations for this. So you would have to recycle the animations from the syringue gun or somehow from the medigun. If you use the syringue gun you can make the reload animations work as a way to put bullets in a hole. And all of this considering valve would fix the animations to do that.
So if you do all this the result would be something completely weird. I've made a quick scrap so you see what I'm talking about:

Progress on my latest model, which I have dubbed "The Pretty Boy" after Pretty Boy Floyd (you can see the actual FBI photo of his weapon as one of my references). It's complete model wise and just needs texturing. This is the high poly version and I think I have a way of knocking it's poly's stupidly low when it's textured (that is if sgtR007 is still interested in texturing it, that is.)
@Dr. Heinz you got some pretty crazy no-gons going there, you should prolly try to cut it into tris and quads since it will be pretty unpredictable how the game engine will cut it up and how it will shade as a result.
Uh, passerby, you're talking to a nub modeler here, lol. I just know how to make stuff in sketchup that looks fairly decent. I know of companies that make shit in sketchup and export em to 3dsmax, but that's as far as my experience goes, sad to say. I'd do it all in 3ds max but for some damn reason no matter what version I download does not like me whatsoever. Can't make lines, boxes, or anything I try to do. All it'll let me do basically is move the bleeping camera-.-.
*Edit* Heh, maybe I should bitch about 3ds more often, it's starting to work for me after 15th reinstall, lol.
Perhaps a Heisenberg set? A miscellaneous bag of Blue in his pouch, a .48 Snub, and a Green box cutter melee.
I think the only thing you could get away with in that set is the revolver, and even then that's pushing it unless in the big update coming soon they release revolver animations for the engi.

I think the miscellaneous item would work fine, unless you mean because they don't want a bag of meth in TF2... The box cutter wouldn't work too well though, especially with wrench animations. I couldn't really think of any other melee than the silver fire axe though and Pyro is kind of the only axe wielder. Maybe something chemistry related like a beaker could work, although that doesn't really fit with the Engineer's wrench melee theme.
Thats a pretty nice item you have there, but I must say just like almost all of your other items its texture is too realistic. It doesn't fit TF2 at all. That wood should not have a grain. Maybe make the wood more like the sandman?
