Looks pretty good, but I think the black is too much contrast imo.
Nothing in the game is really black afair, Make it the color of the pants, more of a dark grey than black.
Yes, I was aware of the black, well being black. The first version had a lighter color black, but when paint was applied, it goes on top of the stripes as well, making it even darker. The solution was putting the stripes into the alpha layer to be excluded from the paint. But no matter what I tried in the alpha layer, the result were ugly, jagged black edges on the stripes. But I will change it and try to get the best result, unless I'm doing something wrong here.
Weird thing happened to one of my items in the workshop today. It lost about 20-30 ratings on it and now it's dropped down about 10 positions :S. Oh well...
Try losing 200 ratings. My item went from page 4 to page 6 overnight. Very frustrating. :poly127:

Not sure I like the green colour. Maybe it just needs to look more "liquid'y". Might have been better if you had them at varying levels, maybe one that was empty or something. If you have the UV space that is. Otherwise it's good.

Love the newer stuff, but when I talked to Valve, they didn't really allow model changes (maybe it was just mine)
They said it was because people would get used to the normal model or something like that.

I think the old versions of your Scout and Spy hats were better. Can't say I'm a big fan of the paint strip on the bombs either. Not everything needs to be paintable.
Working on modeling a Pyro weapon, a turbo-charged industrial Mann-Blower yard-vac. No flames just blowing and maybe some sucking. :-)
(may need to add a leaf bag to collect things from sucking)
That's a beast Mark but do you think Valve would have a primary non-flamethrower weapon for Pyro? It's like the vacuum on the workshop, it wouldn't make sense but it looks cool.
Anyway it's a fine model you have there. Only crit is the two pipes going into the grilled cube. How is it connected?
looks like a large compressor linked to an internal combustion engine. OR a compressor feeding air to the exhaust of the IC engine, creating a very hot exhaust. So its a hot air gun. >:3

Well, I do have reasoning (would like to hear your counter reasoning if possible):
The Scout hat was completely off palette, it looked very dark. The new colours match the Scouts hand wraps, and his shirt. The texture glitches have been cleaned up and the shine has been reduced (it looked like jelly?). The hat texture also wasn't paintable before, even though paint could be applied to it.
The white patches on the Demoman hat look like a compression artifact at pretty much any distance. There's also no white brush strokes on any hats made of similar materials, such as the Tippler's Tricorne. I'm not too bothered about this one to be honest. I barely notice it exists.
The bombs are only a style, I prefer 'em plain too. Just trying to fit them into my "PAINT EVERYTHING PURPLE" scheme.

Well, here's the first thing I've ever done for TF2. It's a pistol based on a Mauser C96 pistol. It's a new pistol for the engineer (it's a German pistol, so I would really have preferred it go to the medic, but since they don't use pistols, engineer was my second pick). This is my first hand-painted texture, so comments and crits would be awesome.

Yeah agreed. It's probably only about the texture though, too realistic and too shinneh. Look at other guns textures ingame. Maybe a bit too much details in the mesh.

It's really meant to be an airblaster with either a larger blast radius or a stronger blast; a mostly defensive concept. It would also have to come with a downside like less health or more damage from fire/bullets/etc.
The pipes do go into the piston housing but you have a great point on it being ambiguous, so I've made a flange there.

Uh, Gin.... Maybe you should compare it's length with the original sniper rifle. Cause right now, that thing is friggen huge. It'd be a simple fix, just shorten the barrel length and maybe a little on that suppressor part. Other than that it looks great.
Here's some preview of the SMG Sexy Robot and I are making, just a screenshot from maya. It may not be the final texture. It turned out pretty similar to the original concept, Sexy Robot is making a great work. I'm trying to make the textures look superb.
Frame seems pretty much done, I'll add all the fiddly little details and the barrel using a normal map. However, I have absolutely no friggen clue how to make revolver cylinders. Any tips?

On the model, all looks good to me but I can't for the life of me figure out what that white 'plug' thing is at the back?
On the same theme as The Ironsight, someone should make a Sniper Rifle with the scope covered (perhaps with tape or a lens guard) and call it The Quick Scope.
Well, I did this when I got in from work. Maybe it looks a little rushed. The texture could do with some work. But it's DONE now and im going to BED! If anyone has any ideas of how to improve, or any crits at all, let me know

it's very nice, but I don't think it really fits with TF2's art style...
again, it's a GREAT model, but it needs a fair amount of tweaking to work in TF2.

Might as well give some in sdk shots of the texture and model.
I suck at Cylinders, so Passerby helped me out on that, I made everything else though (like that was a big challenge >.>)
