Also, LOL! Are you seriously trying to say that the 3d videogame art community draws functional bodies rather than cosmetic bodies? What universe do you live in? This is the industry of narrow waist, giant tits hanging out, while wearing giant shoulder armor and having an exposed midriff and neck. There is nothing functional about 95%+ female figure designs in the game industry.
Actually, I personally try to push our work to be in that 5%, and keep it attractive to people as well. We don't do body builders and porn stars whenever we can avoid it.
Yeah, of course stuff like Warhammer is not a place for realism, but our recent stuff wasn't classical high fantasy and we've been able to get nice but more realistic and less objectified types into them.
And I would like to see others push into this direction, tool, instead of the plastic doll types.
Literally. There is a book called The Beautiful Boy with him on the cover. It's really creepy IMHO-but the gay community loved it and he has been used as an example for the feminine male archetype since. Did not age so gracefully though. Not my fav-but worth a mention.

I genuinely think that the man is beautiful, because he does modeling jobs, and is obviously comfortable with his body, and I think that chubbier people have a certain wonderful character/quality to them, as it's real, and isn't just another square jawed washboard abed teen heartthrob.
