On another note... I finished season 3 the other night. I'm probably going to leave season 4 for xmas vacation.
Part of me's hoping Rita's character "development" is a slow burn to next season, where Dexter finally decides he's had enough of her shit and decides to kill her.
im still appaled how the character development of miguel in season 3 went from a regular guy to that...it was soooo forced...and that moment all my hopes for a good plot were pufff....the rest was typical mexican drama, wich seems to happen on all series that start awesome.
wow eh! pretty good finale, certainly gonna be a long wait till next season, looks like they are planning on shaking up the formula a bit. My fav episode of the season is still the thanksgiving one though, suuuper intense.
I didn't understand an essential part right before that, couldn't hear it clearly, but just went on anyway. Then that hit.... God dammit, why a YEAR!?!?!?!?! I need more Dexter next week.

They should have found out the truth about Dexter by this season I think, and more time should have been given to his reaction to Rita's death. The worst thing is he didn't know Trinity killed Rita before he killed him...he might have taken it slower if he knew hehe.

I was telling my girl that Dexter deserves it. Don't get me wrong, I love the character...but season after season he's gotten away scott free. I was glad to see that the writers acknowledge this and made him quasi pay for his "sins". Plus, let's not forget, he killed an innocent this season. God I love this show.

Heh, you wait a day, and you see people's reactions to a popular show finale...takes the wind right outta of the big surprise twist. Lookin forward to how that goes next season!
I like 4th season more than the 4th. Good decision for the director to get rid of Rita it seems ;P. not so much lovey drama on 5th season with Rita's absence
Yeah... Breaking Bad has made me realise Dexter aint that great a show, and the two new baddies are really not convincing... I will be tuning in all the way through though.
^ Like Andreas said, Dexter is starting to feel weak in comparison to shows like Breaking Bad. I like Dexter but it feels a bit more fake when each new season is "introduce new antagonist, introduce new C-list celebrities as a one-season characters, conclude season with none of the main conflict usually crossing over to the next season".
It'll be interesting to see where they go with this season's religious theme!

i know it was inevitable, what happened, but the chemistry between Doakes and Dexter was what made the show live =/
