Hello everyone finally i´m a member yaay i´m used to just watch all that cool stuff here but now i got some time and would like to ask if it´s to late to enter the Dota 2 contest?
You've got 10 days! Even if you miss the deadline you can still submit your items to Valve's DOTA2 workshop.
Stupid I know, but what else do you say. Besides all the same trite stuff that has been said before.
I love games. I love art. I love game art. I went to school to create 3d games and 3dgame art. the school's program was full. I received degree in illustration.
I now learn to use lightwave.
here is my online portfolio of illustration stuff which has failed to earn me a living...
soon I will post my model I have been working on. It is the character with the yellow and black stripped jacket on the second link I provided.
Thus far I like Lightwave, but I have a few issues with it. Lighwave often crashes on me. When I attempt to use follower on my bones in layout it does not work properly (i know I know, but really I followed the friggin' Newteck tut PERFECTLY, my rig still does not work). I can't wait until I am one hundred percent efficient with it because, it is absolutely addicting!
welp, drop me a line if you wanna... I'm bored. :poly127::(:poly124::\:poly118::poly117::poly122::shifty::thumbdown::thumbup::poly136::poly141::poly142:
Hello! I am Matt Stevanus, illustrator, art student, commission artist, character designer, comic artist and 3D concept artist. I joined to receive feedback on my work and designs and am excited to meet new people and discuss techniques, practices, tools and critique on artwork.
Hello Polycount Community, My name is Adam Poots. I am an avid video & tabletop game fan and the Creator of Kingdom Death. I've had the truly wonderful experience of working with many artists ( both traditional hand sculptors and digital sculptors ) to realize characters and monsters for the game world. I hope to do a bit of lurking, perhaps learn a little and share my own personal experiences with creating digital sculptures for 35mm scale printing. You know... making tiny men!
Guess the best thing I can say really has been said by Oldrasputin 2 posts above mine.
Everything has been said really.
Well, I have been 3d modelling since the age of 12, been succesful in the industry for about 4 years now.
Working full-time as a 3D Modeler and Technical Artist during that period.
Even though my passion is to work on top-notch-quality games one day my current proffesion includes but is not limited to working on 3D Configurators for buildings, boats, cars etc. etc. and Artist Impressions of such things.
(Hek, we could make that configurator into a fridge configurator or maybe a MC Donalds ordering line where you make all your own hamburgers online and can pick them up!... mmm good idea... should write that down!)
Main reason I registered here is because I am always looking to learn and get into communities. Being a 'stalker' here for several years I thought: Megh it's about time I register and maybe post some of my own work!
So with that said, I think I will end my first post right here!

Hey Adam! Glad to have you here, everyone at Polycount is certainly familiar with Kingdom Death after seeing the awesome pieces made by Haz & other artists.
Hello everyone! I'm still a beginner on 3d stuff, so I hope you people will be patient to me and help me improving my style even though my work is still at... level 1 ? Of course I'm also "helping myself" as it was written at the beginning of this thread. =P
