i cant believe u were thinking of dropping out this guy looks awesome.
also on the colors, its always good to have the chest stomach and areas with thinner skin to be lighter less saturated colors. where as the areas such as the back shoulders and wrists hands and such tend to have darker more saturated tones, at least in nature. its a standard passive camoflauge, look at images of sharks if you need refrence
thanks for comments guys- i am still fighting with colours and i hope this will get better. Now i tried to give him more polycount-ish feel by playing with green in cloth area- what you think about it?
I also did some proportions tweaks and here are orthographic views. the previous image was all wrong because the long scabbard and zbrush weird perspective...
Looking great morte! Im really liking the green cloth. I think now that you have a color other than brown there you could try adding a slight brownish tint to the metal so it looks older and doesnt stick out as much, but just a slight amount nothing drastic. And idk if its just me but from the side view it looks like his collar bone thing is way to straight across. Keep up the great work.
urgh struggling to finish this but to be honest i am losing my motivation to finish... but here is an excuse of update... i am going to bake polypaint on my lowpoly and then enhance the texture in some 2d app. i am also almost finish with retopology, but some i must do some optimizing...
oh and i am taking one of my final exams tomorrow so keep yours fingers crosed1:)
