Completely sick Kite! Not sure where the tongue/cape thing is going but the torso is lovely. You have really captured the feeling of skin well. I really believe the guy is/was a living creature.

o my! beautifull work! what a nice texture work as well...a mix of the second and the third woul dwork i think...the first one top part look like genitals somwhow..although i must just be a bit not right in me head lol

thanks guys, didn't realise the thread was alive and kicking. Afraid i've lost interest in the character a bit and i haven't managed to do anything on him since last post. Maybe pick him up after the comp when i get some fresh ideas and more free time. and a concept!

malus - thanks malus, it's just a wiggly edge, extruded, then soft selected into the shape of the collar. Then cloth modifier applied with self collisions on to flow it around the cape - cape set as a collision object and position of the verts of the frill inside the cape preserved.

That's a bummer that you're out. You're work is always a treat! I don't know how long your first Dom War entry stayed on my desktop but it was well past DW2.
Really sad to hear this kite. Your character was my favorite in the whole comp. No doubts in my mind you would have put the "Dominance" into Dominance War. Hopefully we will get to see this guy completed someday soon.
In the meantime, how about putting up a portfolio site so we can all enjoy your work? That splash page is cool, but I want more, moar, MOAR! Thanks for creating such inspirational works over the years. Even though this one hasn't been completed yet, it's another great addition to an awesome portfolio
im not angry, im just ...kidding, it was a phenomenal start, but i fully understand being too busy to compete. Best of luck on finishing this one and u r still the king in my book.
This guy was easily my favorite entry, so it kinda sucks to hear you won't be able to finish it by the deadline, but honestly, I'd rather have you take your time and finish it right, than rush it, and force it, and have a lackluster finish when you're just not feeling it. So Yeah, come back to it when you have the time and inclination to do so.
