Trying youtube for a bit, they don't like my stealing of peoples hot jams and putting them in my videos, and like to warn me about them, but i do like the amount of people that find my videos independent of my spamming them here... So.
HEY GUYS. I wanna do another talky video once i finish upgrading my computer tonight. Any particular part of my workflow that you wanna hear me babble about? Anything? Apart from when i do and do not wear pants...?
Hm. Is that not pretty well documented already? I guess i was hoping for question marks relating to actual sculpting? AO/Normals is a pretty short walkthrough, though. I could do that.
I was just using the edge loop button, yeah. It's not destructive up the subdivisions so you can add a little geo here and there to have more to push around. Been doing that a lot lately.
Im sorry I missed the live feed on the 2nd..., Nice work here, ive been following since the first deleted / reinstated post.
I wonder, if Render didnt get pissy would all this still be here? PC is awesome for this reason!
suggestion for chatty video;
I would like to see an encompassing video on different techniques for projecting down geometry, not retopo specifically, although ill take it, but more adding geo to redefine or create new mesh, such as that leg. And also if to take high poly multiple piece sculpts with floating geo from another app into zbrush and create a single mesh from them all (not welded or "attached" pieces, seamless single mesh). Makes it easy for single UV or whatever, have a basemesh for further sculpting ect.... Ive seen tuts on this and piece it all together, but I dont know if there is something really great and complete in video form. if so please PM link
I'll be posting chunk of this as audio backed on vimeo after i get it cut up a little. Youtube would be 14 videos. not doing that. Thinking cutting it up into 6 pieces and just posting it as is
something disturbingly messmerising about timelapse zbrush stuff,
i especially enjoyed watching the tune swapping, model rotating and IM pauses...glad you left them in...really no joke its nice to see how other people work...
must do some more zbrush, ive not even opened it in a few months.
Some of the videos go 3x speed and that's nice to see the progression of the model and your skill in Zbrush but it doesn't really help me learn haha. Nice skills though.
N88tr: Ask me questions? These are not tutorials as such. I started doing the recording as an overzealous crack at doing video training dvds. Then I ended up just lenjoying seeing what I'm doing played back. Helped me a hell of a lot in verbalizing what my process is to my coworkers and my students. Eventually there will be more tutorials, but that shit takes time. And that's in short supply lately.
Really inspirational stuff. All of it. It's nice to see the great artists producing fantastic work are still human haha. I love your musical choices as well, good taste.
by human do you mean drunk? Cause I may have been in the talky videos. Im seeing a pattern there... =O also: thanks man. I'm quite stoked anyone finds value in my warblings. It's encouraging
Some videos I never posted to my blog and you did not see unless you susbscribed to my youtube. Did these in a few hours to demo some stuff to other people on our art team.
Lots of redbulls moose. I think it was more like 3 hours? I dont know. It was a long time ago now. It was meant as a "hey! Look! We could model these weapons and it takes less time than just painting them ok!?!?!"

More Hard surface stuff in max before some zbrush love to the body.

HOW DO YOU MOVE YOUR MOUSE SO FAST :poly142: :poly124:
Did a video to show my students basic setup in marmoset. Basic, i know. But worth the few minutes if you have not used it?
Another video. This time showing how to setup mudbox 2012 to paint your texture maps in a realtime shader environment. Painting specular = bonefest.
