Okay, so I don't work in the game industry, I work for one of the least respected corners of the 3D world (I make content for Poser and DAZ Studio). But I hover right around the 15k a year mark and barely keep my power and stuff on... should I take advantage of this offer (it's an extremely useful app even if I don't use actual Normal Maps), or pass on it for now?
Would just like to say that this man deserves a statue. I read this thread when it was new and I still had a job. I lost my job at the end of last year and just recently thought of this thread again. Turns out that the man still helps out his fellow artists.
