target_renegade, i don't know what it is but i think you should add some silhouette details with those extra polys. i also am not sure about the high amount of spec you've got going on, it looks like a rougher surface to me. for funzies, i could see some of that text being engraved on a metal plate and fastened on with screws/bolts-- instead of directly onto the surface-- especially that symbol on the lower right.
