amen.
But really, they aren't as many as you make it sound. If anything, we need more
As for characters like the ones mentioned, I don't mind as long as they look like the best executions you can ever get from a demo reel. Sadly a lot of them go into the shitter.
-americans as the good guys
-the permanent angry face
I thought we needed MORE of these.
47 > every other fuckface
lol. damn politics.
i would have to add amnesia. my god. you would think there's an epidemic considering how many stories there are about people losing thier memories.
Then again without cliches a lot of people would be out of work.
fuck yes
*edit*
I just want to say, that some Cliches are cool, that's why they get used over and over, but you always have to put an original twist in the familiar cliche framework.
also, giant armored space marines are becoming super overused, its like to be more badass just add more bulk. dont get me wrong, there are some awesome ones out there but nowdays everyone and their dog has a armored nano suit of some type.
Some of them have brilliant game-play mechanics but if I see another Ork variant I'm going to cry. There's another one, Orks...
Interactions consisting of variations on "I'll get you!", "No you won't!", "Oh yeah?".
Locked doors.
Crystals.
NPCs with a shadowy past.
The most fun weapons getting the least play time or ammo.
Water kills you.
Smashing boxes to get stuff. And barrel/crate/boxes in general. Even in real life these items should be abolished. Except for kegs...you leave my keg alone.
oh wait
also, huge-ass weapons with bullets made of wax.
leave the large breasted chicks alone lol what did they ever do to you ?
you could have mentioned that earlier...
Keep in mind 'Shadow Of the Colossus' was a great exception though however.
dogs in armored nano power suits............drool
Nothing, that's the problem.
Also, having to defend an NPC with the IQ of W Bush and the zest for life of a depressed lemming.
If anyone knows, please share!
Likewise, viruses and worms that are actually visually eating the screen...
nom nom nom
Whats that!?
Its the black worm of death man! The feds have a hack back program! They are onto us!
Overly simplified UI's in films/TV so everyone has plenty of time to read everything. followed by a few seconds of the actor reading what it is that was on the screen that everyone already read. I think its safe to assume modern audiences can read...
The butterfly effect. yea I'm lookin at you Heros...
I found it when I suddenly remembered 'Grant', which turned out to be the first name of writer Grant Morrison.
