:icon_arrow: A team of 3 friends! (optional). You can be a team of 1 concept artist, 1 3D modeler, and 1 texture artist. Or all the same!

:icon_arrow: A team name! "The Dream Team","The SisterHood of 3","Team Delta"... are all perfectly acceptable names.

:icon_arrow: Be ready - have 1 or 2 available vacation days from work set aside... just in case! This contest is going to be HUGE!

:icon_arrow: A cleared schedule for students (Stop procrastinating! Finish your homework, and finish it early!!)

:icon_arrow: Grab yourself some bottled food and canned goods for quick and easy access! You're not going to want to go anywhere!

:icon_arrow: Do your laundry, have a shower. Brush your teeth, go for a jog. Once this bad mother &%*$# of a contest begins there will be no stopping it!

:icon_arrow: Surprise contest specs

:icon_arrow: Brand new badass judges, sponsors, and loot!

And it all begins... AUGUST 29th 2008.

Another announcement, about the upcoming announcement!

I'll decide if I'm in, when I know what I'm in for.

I'm not going to get hyped up and then let down when the workflow is ass-backwards or the theme is so pigeon holed that it strangles most of the creativity out of entries. If its something I'll like doing then I'm in. If not, I have a lot of other stuff on my plate I'd love to devote the time to.

With a FT job that can easily eat up 50+hrs a week if (I let it)...
A wife and a 1 yr old that are a blast to play with...
And a long list of personal projects I'd love to finish...
I won't make time for something massive unless its good. Its too early to tell.

I'd also hate to join up as part of a team, end up biting off more then I can chew and sink two other peoples chances.

Like I said, I'll wait and see what I'm in for, how long it will take and weigh that against the stuff I'm itching to work on already. I'm not really seeking fame, glory or fortune, so it has to be fun to work on. Stocking up on canned goods, and putting everything on hold, doesn't sound like fun... but who knows maybe it will be that good...

I don't mean to crap on anyones parade, I'd rather see people excited about this then try to drag it down. It's probably a great contest, but probably not my bag.

Let the glory hounds feast =P

oh wow I want to enter, hmm Im not on any team yet though, Id like to just do some concept art and some props/modular bits but I dont know if I cantcommit to a huge amount of work, I just dont have time.

Im really hoping people can plan/manage teams well and get a consistent style and quality throughout the environment, I think that will be the major challenge for most inexperienced artists.
