IMO whether he is a Pap or not asking for an autograph is not what I would call baiting him to get a reaction. It would have taken less than a minute to stop and sign the poster instead he ended up spending more than a minute arguing with the guy and allowing the pap to make him look like a total douche. I am sure the "fan" had more to say, than was shown, between Cameron calling him an asshole and asking for an autograph but the whole situation could easily have been avoided.
Wow, that Inception trailer looked amazing. Like everyone else, I gave Leonardo shit for being in that god awful titanic movie, and being way too popular at the time, but he is a damn good actor. I don't see the logic - If Cameron knew he was being baited, why wouldn't he just spend 5 seconds scribbling on the poster, instead of acting and sounding like a uberdouche on camera? If he knew this guy had the means to make money off've getting footage of him acting a fool, why would he play right into that?

I don't think he has a duty to sign any promotional material shoved into his face after a long flight, but I do think that being a tool to someone that wanted his autograph, if nothing but to show a little appreciation for the hundreds of millions he's accrued by his worldwide fandom, is a pretty sizeable douchebag manouvre.

I've a signed hardback copy of William Gibson's Neuromancer. I don't drool over it, cuddle up to it at night or keep it in an atmospherically regulated, pressurised container, but it's cool to know that the guy that brought cyberpunk to the fore physically put his pen to my copy.
Just because you can't see any point in that doesn't mean the billions of people that collect memorabilia, merchandise, promotional material, directors cuts, bonus content, actual movie props, books, special editions, decorate their desks with action figures or take part in cosplay events have no life
