revliss, your chicks are still off balance. everything else in your sketches seems solid, but they are always falling over. I have a feeling maybe you draw with your sketchbook turned slightly?
very interresting technique. i hope that one day there will stand a person in front of me, holding a electric erazor in his hand, looking into my eyes & speaking the following words: "here for you."
oh and its just 2B pencil with a bit of patience
There's some crazy awesome stuff goin on in here!
I did a quick n' dirty concept of a submarine from the Lemony Snicket book "The Grim Grotto". They're really great books and they had a description of an octopus-like submarine with whirring metal legs. Planning on doing this in 3D as well.
Pixel... Your sketchbook drawings are sweet!! I wish I had the courage to just scribble things and create a form out of it. You inspire me and make me want to draw!
Loving the sketches ChaosEidolon. Keep this thread on top everybody. Here's another one from me, I usually stay away from photo ref, but for but I saw a pose that got my imagination moving so I had to use it.
Just found some random sketches of mine and threw them together, Tho because my scanner scans somewhat poorly I took the liberty of adding an outline in adobe photoshop making them much sharper.
Its mainly stuff that never made it, and was just floating around.
I like the Witch bitches, especially the one with the pentagram, she looks real narsty (yes Narsty not nasty, sound more Eww)
I think the Thourazil warrior (Upper right corner) has some potential if I worked more on it, but we will see.
Under the witches and thourazil there's an alien designed very much after a camel spider.
The "Croc" at the bottom was designed shortly after I completed playing the single player in King Kong (the jungle part of the game just made an impression on me I supose)
quick 3-d sketch prototype thought it would belong here more than anywhere else.
the mechanics on this gun are nonsense, by the way. looks cool, though.
Wow interesting technique systmh, Never seen anything like that before:D cool.
I do make some "sketches" in 3d but its always just some basic modelling.
systmh that's a friggin sweet 3d sketch.. thing you got there. I'll have to try that sometime Hawkprey does something similar, tho it's more refined and detailed
oglemeanimations, nice lighting! Head looks a little too big tho... meh, could just be me.

A pic to explain the eraser thing :
Not great a drawing but it's very fast in the making and also very relaxing to do!
oh and its just 2B pencil with a bit of patience
Bottom (white bg) are referenced either fully or partially.

and took the little fishy in the bottom right and did a paintover.
I realy like the fishy.
Maybe its cool if the light bulb infront of his head beams out some more light.
Here are the sketches:
Here is a rendered copy. Trying for children's illustration, water color style.
Here's another one.

Scanned them in and lined them up.
I use a technical pencil on normal printing paper if anyone wonders (never used anything else outside the computer)
