Cabritozavala, what material are you drwing with? I am struggling to find THE pencil or stick that gives that kind of smooth yet controlled look. The closest I found are the Pitt Pure Graphite 6B and 9B sticks but still would like to know what you are using. Your study has that specific Watt's Atelier feel... I like it!
@sebas: my thoughts are...(allways wired) , no but yeah i guess i can say that the bridgman studys improved something on my drawings. not that i can master anything out that he tried to teach, but everything got a bit better. i feel the lines better, i hit the perspective i want without the use of thinking, i get a better feel of the poses/feel of something, i began to think about forms more... he did not tryed to show me his perfection - he gave me a direction, thats what i liked the most about his book/drawings. i recommend
I think I watched too much Dark Crystal as a kid. You guys would think I'm crazy if you knew how many evil looking bird warrior/monsters I draw on a daily basis.
decided that i've never posted any digital paintings here cos you're all so much better, but practice makes perfect i guess? i'm going for he "beautiful man" kinda look (he's actually gonna be a villain in a concept i want to design...)
o_O, wow, killing thats awesome (story either :P) I;m big fun of your drawings, I love colors.
When U decide to create some tutor, even fast and simple with some hints I'll be very glad to see it.
Mansir - owned, such a detail, gosh I wish to paint in half like U. (saved as :P )
Started painting over a photo, to touch it up and make it slightly higher resolution. but then ended up going way over the top and making it massive, and pretty much changed everything, hair, skin, lips. the only thing that's really the same is the outline.
i'll upload the original soon when i get a chance to go back to my own machine. oh and the sofa/background suck. i know :P
almost 2 years after buying the domain i finally got a piece of art up on my website. I've taken the first step, even if its just one picture. So now the hard part is done. Now i just need to figure out how to make thumbnails and that lightbox script to work.
Makkon, i love how expressive you're able to make your characters with so few lines. top notch!
This is my first post. I have been lurking a bit and decided to post. My name is Marc and i am from The Netherlands. I am a bit into drawing and a bit into moddeling. Although i am not very good in either one of those i am eager to learn.
Here are my 2 latest drawings..
Please tell me how to improve I am going to bed now, but i will be back tommorrow.

mansir>your stuff rocks, the quickywomanchain turned out great
makkon: are your fingers now burning? amazing stuff as usual
last week i started to explore a pen (newspaper stuff), tried some self portraits (first time i thinked about it;with mirror), began to explore hands, and did some usual stuff ... i guess
started my day with pen training from the newspaper-then i suddenly realized that i need more nude training (i need to learn more...) - & ended with a head doodle
k, gonna clutter this up with sketches from my journal over the summer working at Bliss Summit Bible Camp: (mixed in with notes and various thoughts, blah blah)

intending to take this to a more completed state, but i'm really going to have to buckle down and concentrate on it to make that happen.
