thats a great tutorial for it - and explains a bit of it, and their principles. Whilst not totally movement - it explains how certain stuff looks more "fluid" rather than rigid.
I took it a totally different way however.
Paul used that as the example - and whilst it adds movement - it lacks weight; which yours carries to the full extent right now. I can see what mop is saying - but I think you draw the weight fine
just wanted to chime in with the communal sucking, your concept art rules the school! The prince of uranus and the chick with the two cubes of doom were my favourite concepts in the whole competition, hands down. Did anyone ever claim her btw?
thnom: yeah, MoP's example was exaggerated and maybe not appropriate for that particular character, but it's still a good illustration of it. thanks for that link, very helpful in thinking about depicting strong motion.
kite: i really appreciate it man, it's a big compliment coming from you. your thread has been one i've been following the whole competition--i'm quite envious of Beef's mech design in particular! to answer your question, the psionic girl was made for Downsizer, who didn't have time for the compo but he's planning on making a model of her soon.
