This is the sweet spot for your low-poly models. Post 'em if you've got 'em!Low-poly hasn't really been a requirement in the games industry for a long while now. This thread is for low-poly art style appreciation, so please take note of these rough guidelines:
- Keep models under 1,000 triangles.
- Scenes are fine, if all models are low poly.
Some dedicated low-poly modelling tools now exist that make this art style a lot easier to produce;

Made this a while ago, probably the first organicish thing I did.
@Neo, I think that your texture res is a bit too high. You can overlay some parts in that uv, atleast it looks like that . Also his feet seem to be a bit high poly, you can better use some of the polies in his feet on his round top thingy, to maybe make him rounder? Also a bit more color variation could make it a little more interesting.
He's supposed to be Ashley Riot from Vagrant story.
honestly i dont know what this guy is. i do hate him though. i imagine him to be some sort of asshole who gets in fights outside bars. his strikes this pose after he beats someone senseless and tosses them in a dumpster.
i should have made it fishnet or something.
Fencer:
476 Tris en total.
Just a start, been meaning to join in for awhile. Thought about doing a 57 chevy, then thought, what the hell, might as well do my truck.
2002 chevy extreme. Currently 350 polys. Gonna make square alpha wheel sides to save polys.
i'm so noob at 3D Modelling.. should i keep trying?
Your model seems a bit highpoly. You use a lot of polygons in the cylindrical forms, which atleast could be reduced
i use my dad's 3dsmax7
and this is another botz
How many tris do you have in that mech? It would be good to see wires as its quite hard to give any advices without them. If you want to have more critiques, the best way is to make a whole new thread.
Dont use a black background in renders .. light grey works much better.
hmm.. i dont know how to make it less poly

When creating primitive cylinders in max, which I think you did, you can change the amount of segments and such in a menu on the right side of your screen.
As soon as I stepped foot on this forum, I learned so much about low polycounts, that I'd like to thank you all for what you've shown here. With this, I shall post some of my stuff, too.

This is a model I've done, to show it in the interview I previously had, for a game design course. It had 440 tris. That was supposed to be for a Nintendo DS game concept, that's why I made it low from the start. However...

I thought: Can't I reduce this more? So, I got able to reduce it up to 396 tris. That's How it is, now.
BUT! That was before I got to know this forum... After looking at some of your models, and knowing that probably something above 300 tris would be more than what the DS can handle, considering what I had in mind, I'm now working on the character template, again.

Currently, it has 182 tris. I dunno if I'll add some more, or if I'll start making the new character model from it. Now, I hope it doesn't surpass 250 tris, or something like that.

This is a creature I did, with 230 tris, something like that. It's supposed to be the enemy for the game concept I'm thinking about.
BTW, I model in Anim8or. The UV, armature, and posing is done in Blender. The textures are being drawn in Character Maker Pro, a program made to create sprite sheets, which, in my opinion, works perfectly for this, too.
he's got about 1040 tris and a 256^2 texture map....
didn't really mean to make it this lowpoly, but oh well...
cool!
seriously?! dood!
...dood...

Edit: Changed images to links since they were breaking formatting and don't really belong in this thread anyway.
I realise it sounds like I'm asking, but really, I'm quite sure. 500 should be the ABSOLUTE maximum. Having a tiny stroll through the thread should've told you as much.
really cool, would love to see the texture.
But isn't that the Morrisons logo? =P
Then I scrolled down and saw that squirrel, and laughed all over again. Those are really funny guys, good work.
Is there a way to get 100%selflit plus shadows?
Is this possible?,
Areas hit by light - 100% self-illuminated
Areas under shadow - 100% self-illuminated with some kind of black overlay to darken it? Don't wont any gourad/blinn shading or whatever its called.
