This is the sweet spot for your low-poly models. Post 'em if you've got 'em!Low-poly hasn't really been a requirement in the games industry for a long while now. This thread is for low-poly art style appreciation, so please take note of these rough guidelines:
- Keep models under 1,000 triangles.
- Scenes are fine, if all models are low poly.
Some dedicated low-poly modelling tools now exist that make this art style a lot easier to produce;

I've been following this thread for 2 years now and loved almost every post.
Here goes my first post on Polycount.
A series of 3d lowpoly diorams I'm making. Planning to do more :poly122:
Hope there is no problem with the polygon count on these. Since I think that lowpoly models are about the amount of detail with the least polygons possible. :poly122:
A big thank you for all the inspiration. I hope you enjoy
This is great work man. The only thing I would critique is the first diorama. You have all of this awesome detail that is being lost int the darkness near the grate. Maybe paint some light in spilling out of the grate to help bring some of the details back in where they were lost. Also the placement is just right that the light would be pointing you back to the focal point of the chest.
P.S. I would love to see this up on sketchfab.
800 polys.

Anyways.. hopefully I can get better at lowpoly work.
Regardless, I really hope we see more from you in the future!
Do you have any wire frames of those scenes?
I've always wanted to take a part in this thread so here is my contribution.
It's from my humble free game SpaceWars 1(Beta) for android.
Feel free to Like my Facebook page.

Stuff looks great mate! Saved em on my pinintrest
@Uberren , no wireframes. Is that a feature you think would be important to have?
thanks for the comments!
Is there more or a project behind it?
Would recommend you make that thread you mentioned.
I"d like to buy your app. Will you be supporting feature requests?
I also suggest you start a thread just for it.
@skankerzero , if you use windows, you can find a download link at crocotile3d.com , I will be looking into releasing mac/linux versions when I get the time to sort that out. I am currently implementing a couple more features into the program.
I can do feature requests, but I'd need to know what they are before determining what kind of priority to place on them, etc.
But yea, anything that will improve the application I'd be interested in.
I'll make a new thread once I get done implementing a couple things.

Woooow thats nuts. I'd love to see how the UVs look.
As usual, here is a car. I should be doing more environmental stuff soon, since Drift Stages track editor is almost at a point where I can export road layouts

These are part of a larger scene I have been working on:

457 poly's.
That is some impressive UV stretching voodoo
The old days with rad racer the nostalgia is high, congrats on a wonderful project, your making a game right?
@hawken super impressed, let me know if you need a beta tester looks great so far.
Was bored today. Wanted to try play around with pixelated edges. The edges turned out ok, but texture doesn't match the jagged look. Will have to play around with it some more.
my first humanoid model.
edit:// I already see a few errors. I need to define some tris on the hips, and the back of the head is flat as hell. not to mention i'll need to add some loops for smooth deforming. thanks in advance for any critique.

Also did a male inkling but haven't posed him yet. I'd like to do a little scene at some point.
That looks awesome!
