This is the sweet spot for your low-poly models. Post 'em if you've got 'em!Low-poly hasn't really been a requirement in the games industry for a long while now. This thread is for low-poly art style appreciation, so please take note of these rough guidelines:
- Keep models under 1,000 triangles.
- Scenes are fine, if all models are low poly.
Some dedicated low-poly modelling tools now exist that make this art style a lot easier to produce;

Here's my low-poly model :
But for the texture I have some problems, maybe someone can help me ?
Well this is currently my texture :
And when I unwrap each face to these small pixel I have a red line (which is the BG color) but it should not be visible since the face are uv mapped on the colored pixels.

Am I doing it wrong ?
Looking great! Good luck on your application. I think you'll do well!
I make games and in the previous year got hyped onto 3d developing and thus is the reason why I have been modeling. I really like low polygonal models I have no idea why but they have always looked "cute" to me, maybe the limitations give them that beatiful feel.
What I mostly have problems is with texturing.
And latley I haven't been able to create a propper tree for my games
Oh well, I will post some of my creations later, I have improved during the time I left ^_^
Cupcake for a thing(related to the number 2000)
This is by far my favorite thread and I hope to post more in here
Not quite sub 1k but it seems there is forgiveness given here..
Soon to be more in my thread here: Click me
What time is it? 19:16PM over here.
Dunno if there's any Adventure Time fans about, but I did this for funsies.
87Roach - Awesome characters, so much personality.
Yes, I know it's spinning too fast. :P
Thank you. I think I have a nice character I'll be posting tomorrow, so let me know what you think
Thanks!
Awesome work qwerty, KMiklas, and HowardDay.
I really like the look of the units you made! I'm assuming they are both using one texture sheet? - Makes me want to make some too.
How to create rotational model gif?
Here's a live example.

Awesome to see the little guy in action!
I feel the colours get lost pretty quick though, if you were changing the entire unit colour it would be very different. Perhaps the marks that change colour should be on the upper portion of the units(or in addition to what you already have)? The tank has that big blank spot on the top rear part of the turret and the mech has the arm sides/top of rocket launchers.
Looking forward to seeing more of those if you do some.
483 tris and 256*256 texture map (I don't know how to improve the quality on the metal)
Animation video here on youtube
Here's the Professor:
I guess I'm halfway through the thread, but now is the time to post. Been following some tutorials from gryllus so the basics are known to me now.
EDIT : Well I guess I did it hehe
I use Blender. For material: Shadeless - On; for texture: MIP Map - Off, Interpolation - Off, Filter Size - 0.1; for render: AA - Off.
And yep, then upscale - Nearest.
Glad you managed it yourself, looks nice!

i never thought monument valley would look good with pixels but you nailed it!
These are some really cool props!
Are you doing a collection of things or is it just to fill some time in between?
Sweetangel0467, it's just a fanart, nothing more
I made it for fun and practice.

This is a pretty cool style. Does anyone know of any published games that look similar?

I love this! Awesome work mister
first post. Amazing stuff all around here, very inspirational!
I have been lurking for a while and figured I want to try out some low poly stuff too.
Its still a wip but I would like to hear your opinion of where this is going
Thanks!
The tape deck is 334 tris with a 128x128 texture, and the beer bottle is 70 tris with a 64x64 texture.
It's been a long time since I posted but here's some of the NPCs from my game Catmouth Island.
They are all under 300 triangles and created in Blender with textures from Illustrator.
You can get the game on itch.io and Desura, but if you want it on Steam you can vote for it there as well so it passes Greenlight.
