Daz: Firefox has an extension I believe for ftping. I'm pretty sure I have it installed, just never used it.

FireFox should have FTP built-in, but it's crap.
On my connections I often have a problem connecting when Konqueror or Explorer will just fine.

This said should really be using a dedicated FTP Client, they generally have more functionality.

Firefox is meant to be completely basic OOTB, you're supposed to use plugins for everything that goes beyond simple browsing. Mozilla had everything and the kitchen sink included but because people don't like bloat (and some features are always considered unnecessary by someone) Firefox was forked.

Firefox is my standard browser, but I also have Opera, IE and Netscape installed. I use the other browsers mainly to test my website's compatiblity with different browsers. I think Firefox and Opera are both very high quality browsers.
