Hey guys, here's another SDK for you to play around with. It was intended to be a personal texturing exercise, but Prior wants to give it a shot so I'm putting it up for download. I've never done this before, hopefully the model and UVs are tolerable. Let me know if seams/distortion are giving you trouble. Have fun, and please show me any progress that you make.
Putting your skin in UT3 can be done very quick and quiet easy. The zip contains a upk. package and ini code that is already configured. You only need to replace the textures with your textures and then you can already test it in game.
Textures: Creature 2048x2048 diffuse/normal/specular color/specular level/light map/AO/UV template/optional original normal
max9 file final low poly model
max8 file final low poly model
.OBJ file
.FBX file
7 tga's
PDF tutorial
Special Note: I also included the original unedited "needs a bit of cleanup" normal map texture bake just in case you guys wanted to use your own bump overlay.

pc lurker "Joseph Pomeisl" was unable to extract my UVs correctly from my obj and had opted to just unwrap the model. He said if I thought it would be helpful, I could share them. His worked okay for me, here is a nice secondary UV layout option for you all! Compliments from the shadows of polycount: knight.rar obj file
Finished this awhile back, couldn't find where I got it from - probably not right spot to post still. Thanks for sharing, Bobo. And for the tunk, as well.
I want to thank Filbot for pointing me to this thread. I don't really know how to model but I am interested in learning how to texture. This is my first attempt at texturing so any feedback would be great. Thank you to Ben Mathis aka "Poopinmymouth" for posting the SDK of a character he created. All modeling credit goes to him. Thank you.
Here I wanted to show my process for my final texture design. First I started by creating black and white shapes to help me chose a final design without being distracted by color.
as far as i understand it, only SDK links should be posted in this thread.
if someone downloaded and textured an sdk, i'd personally like to see them create an offical thread for it, in pimp & previews. a moderator can give the official word on how it should be done.
i'd like it if a mod took it upon themselves to update the first post to list all the SDK links in this thread for quick reference and add links to official thread for each respectively, assuming it had one, where one could find all the pimped textures created for the SDK.

Does anybody have some of the older models in this thread?, if you do can you please post a link or something here. i can host the files indefinitely once i have them but i cant get most of these. these would be a great learning tool for both modelling and texturing.
Special Note: Included are the original unedited "needs a bit of cleanup" AO & normal map textures (PSD).
All of the textures included are 'unsharpened'.
The normal map green channel needs to be flipped for use in Maya.

EDIT - Updated the SDK, something was wrong with the file. Now includes .3ds format as well. Please redownload if you got the SDK before the 13th.
Marine had suggested to turn the low poly hero character into hellboy and release an SDK so here it is.

I also put a short documentation in the zip that should give you all the info you need and if not you can also ask here: http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?p=810874#post810874

Then I chose a design and made some color keys
And this is the final texture
