[Maya] Exported FBX skinned mesh with multiple skinclusters in it

I have a skinned mesh which I'm exporting from Maya in FBX format, the mesh has a single skinCluster and a blend shape deformer. When I import it has a bunch of skinClusters, I think one for each influence, but every skinCluster is a full copy, and together they deform the mesh multiple times over. Funny thing is that it's the only mesh with this problem, I'm exporting multiple meshes in the same file, with the same rig and they export just fine, all of them with one skinCLuster and blendshapes. Yes the history was nice and clean, only the skinCluster and blendshape deformer in it. All the meshs have shpeOrig and shapeDeform in them.
Has that ever happened to anyone? What could be causing it?
I'm using Maya 2025.3.
