Hello. I'm having hard times with hard surface modelling.
At the picture, thick edges need to be preserved when smoothing, so I added extra loops.
The problem is that I don't know how to resolve the upper intersection neatly. Currently there is a little pinching.
Any ideas?

There's a couple of different ways to resolve this type of smoothing artifact. The support loops for the transition between the two flat areas could be reduced using a triangular quad, terminated with an n-gon or carried across into the existing cylinder wall geometry. Which approach makes the most sense will depend on what the object will be used for and how closely it will be viewed.
