Maya / Arnold - Displacement on one object disappears if obscured by transmissive object

I am working on a character with glasses. Lately i made the spectacles and a simple glass material for them. Its not terrible, not great. The problem is that skin displacement seems to disappear in areas obscured by the glass. I checked all roughness values in the glass mat thinking detail just gets blurred but that is not true. 

Is that how Arnold works? Do i need to workaround it in post or is there way to set those properly? Where is the magical hidden checkbox?
