I'm in the wrong country! Have a great time guys! I'll have to try to get over there one time for E3. I will however be vising Cali in September if anyone is up for meeting then. Bit late to the party though...!
Props to the counters doing the Quake Champions. Being class-based though is definitely going to bring out the buttsalt from the loud q3 hermits though
I do hope they include a pure deathmatch mode alongside their class based malarkey. If I'm honest, I'm mostly looking forward to seeing more current gen incarnations of the Quake 3 characters.
Nothing too exciting. I really liked the art and look of Dishonored 2. I never played the original and I am not sold on gameplay yet. I could play the first one and see if I like it though. Also, I'll probably buy a Scorpio when it comes out.
wow. sony is destroying all the other conferences. Everyone should take note...this is how you do it. I didnt have to cringe once during the entire conference, it was all just trailers and more importantly, gameplay filled videos non stop. like 2 mins of salesman banter, the rest was just step back and show everything. I don't even have a ps4 and im on board with their plan.
They showed The Last Guardian and a solid looking date, pretty much sold me on a PS4. I've been waiting so long for that game!
I'm excited to see what Kojima is up to too. Something with an environmental twist, channeled through a bit of Kojima mentalism? I would love a bit of that. Guess we'll be waiting to see more though.
As an aside, anyone else bored to death of zombie games now? They've been non-stop since, what, sometime last gen?
Yep, Sony did a really good job. The God of War presentation was especially good, what with them having the orchestra play the music live during it (I bet most people watching the video stream didn't even realize it).
Apparently the Resident Evil demo is on PSNn later tonight if you have playstation plus. I dont know what time it goes live... but Im going to be refreshing all night.
seems like there isnt as much VR emphasis. I was hoping for some surprise secret projects/genre defining announcements. @ beefaroni: Excited as well over detroit ( considering Quantic Dream is involved, I am glad to see kara made it into the final game )... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQ4BB7vpJgo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEPzofGKSNE
There was so much win, during the Sony conference. I was hoping for a couple more things to be announce, but I guess it isn't time yet. Particularly, Last of Us 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2. I loved almost every game they presented though, and had a few surprises

Were you expecting a brand new RE that fully supports VR start to finish? Sony also confirmed like 3 other VR titles. Then Ubisoft devoted stage time to a VR star trek game and that flight game was on stage as well. Considering that only 1 major console maker is officially throwing themselves in the VR ring Id say there was a healthy VR presence this year on stage.
I will say after watching these streams that my most hated thing is when the camera cuts from gameplay or trailer footage to a wide shot of the crowd. I will never say "ooooohhhhhhhh, the CROWD!" I don't care about the people watching, just gimme the games. Looking at microsoft specifically. Although Sony seemed to have the best ratio of dudes talking to gameplay footage shown. Also, Microsoft announcing a new system only to follow it up with a better system coming out later has been the most WTF choice in my head. I don't have an XBox One but I sure as hell am not buying one now. If anything I'll wait until Scorpio comes out if ever.
Excited for Mass Effect, Spider-Man, and God of War the most so far.

That's how E3 should be, and always be.
