I got a super positive response on the cobblestone graph breakdown I did, so wanted to do another. A few people have asked about the brick texture, so here is the breakdown of that one too. This graph is pretty big so I would recommend downloading the full res from my dropbox and reading it on 100% pixel size. I hope it's useful for some people.
Did some more on my lunch today
Any feedback/suggestions please drop them in my thread

Crossposting from my WIP thread. Still carrying on with this, so nearly done, just need a rig!
Hi Polycount! This is a big dump because I was too lazy to get all this stuff off my tablet until the other day.

Over the last few years I've been drifting more techie. It had actually been...uh...7 years since I messed around with sculpting (and I never was all that good at it back then). Anyway, I started a mostly nightly 1-hour-exercise on the ol' Surface Pro 2 a few months, treating it like a sculpting sketchook. A few of these carried over into a second or third night, but nothing was more than 2-3 hours total. Some are pretty bad, but its still kind of cool to see them in one big image like this.
Here's close ups of the ones I like
Then I moved on to Zbrush...which has come ....uh... a long way in 7 years. Still all short sketches still--tho some went to 3-4 nights/hours. Have to keep things under 1.5 million polys or so, or things get frustrating on the tablet.
And now some close ups screengrabs of some of the ones I liked:
A grizzled old Wolvie. I went a bit crazy with the craggliness.
A hand study I think came out pretty decently.
And here's an attempt at a young Peter Cushing. Not so great on the likeness, but that's ok.
Next up for me: learn more about how to make a nice render in zbrush, perhaps? Anyway, that;s what I've been working on!
C&C is welcome!
Trying out hair for the first time
@KellyJohnson3DArt Love that one. Not much to say other than the front paws having a bit of a high contrast compared to the rest.
I retouched an old piece today. Redid the grass and made everything in general less noisy.
