I just got out of the hospital for pancreatitus, so I hope to be able to catch up on everything I've missed. I see that you guys have been killing it since I've been gone
Hi Polycount! Its been a ... very long time since I last posted, maybe 2004?!?! Anyways, no time like the present to get back in the swing of things.
My inktober theme this year is very gaming heavy! Its all about DARK SOULS, one of the best games of all time and one I love very dearly, so with that, here are my first 9 days (Im running one day behind, I'll try to fix that tomorrow.
Last two will be update once I have access to a scanner again (broken one at home)
Glad to be back! Looks like things have been alright since I left
Greetings Polycount. First post here!
Only found out about Inktober yesterday
Anyway, here are some sketches for the last two days (probably won't have time to make more for the days that have already passed)
Only photos, because I'm travelling at the moment, which means no scanner in sight.
Just a liiiiittle bit intimidated by all the great art here though
... today I can´t miss the chance to feedback you Mr. Stinger88. Your improvement in drawing is incredible. Since the first days of the 2D threads you´re rocking hard consistently. Since when are you on this daily drawing habit?
Thanks man! Means a lot. Loving the Zombie animals series. They are a really awesome set of characters. keep it going!
@kendmd - Thanks! love your knights, are you using a brush for those? your getting some really nice kind of dry textured strokes going on which are awesome!
here is me trying to get back up to speed, not really digging this one, turned out a bit wonky
EricElwell thank you for the words. Fantastic shade city you've got there.
An attempt at an "iron tree," something I had thought of a while ago.
Each thousand years it gives off a single sword flower. At the core of the flower there's a magic sword -- it's just a hilt, but the blade will materialise "in a time of need."
I had to look at some Gary Chalk art for reference on ink shading. It's very difficult.
This is a mess, but what the heck. I had a spill over sheet for ink refills, and was noodling with refilling a micron. Failed attempt, so I made some knights with the broken pen before I threw it away.
danipanteez: Thank you! Your characters are super cute and a little bit scary, love them!
lotet: Hehe, awesome drawing, made me chuckle a bit. Thanks for that! I think knights are a thing, period. How can someone being covered in plate armor and colorful clothing not be awesome?

I wish I had time to do these daily, but I guess this will have to do, here is a little monster.
2 for Day 16 since I missed yesterday.
Figure drawing combined with armor studies. They look a little bit goofy almost but it was a nice exercise.
@gnashed, i love those so so so much.
Gnashed@ - Gnahs those are beautifull, so are knights becoming an inktober thing or something?
Didnt really manage to get that super crazy look I was after, but Im pretty happy with this one anyway.
