this is my humble corner. Have the keyboard on my lap most of the time (it just started running out of batteries so I am taking photos instead of painting, lol). But it is better than it was
Thought I'd bump this thread as I recently finished making my new desk for my first flat! I bought some reclaimed scaffolding planks and washed, sanded, stained and varnished them. I then bolted them to an ikea underframe. I love how much character it has, really pleased with the result. Also got an ergotron monitor arm, which I love!
My space is incomplete, the second arm is supposed to fit a drawing display but i can't afford one yet. It just sits there, looking at me. Also the tartarus is missing at this moment in time.
Eventually i'll put up more pictures on the wall for the drawing space but i'm satisfied for now.

very picturesque indeed - but you don't use the mouse without a pad on this surely? in fact it looks as if you'd require some smooth sheet for where your arms go to make this thing work over time.
I am getting a friend of mine to fashion a mousemat out of metal for me. I am just using a book for a smooth surface atm :P The edge of the desk I put a bit of a bevel in when I was sanding it, and the surface is actually quite smooth too. I can't see it causing any discomfort.

I'll likely be moving in a couple months so maybe my 2016 one will improve/finish this year. Not only do I want a drawing display but I'd really like a corner desk with the drafting table built in like this one.
