I'm a little jealous. Haven't gotten to attend since 2010, for various reasons. Most significantly, my employment situation hasn't really been stable. In the intervening years I've had four different jobs. Four jobs in the past five years, when I actually type it out it's kind of scary.
My current job I only just started a few weeks ago, and I'm still a contract employee at. I could get bumped up to salaried in a few months, but for the time being I couldn't possibly take off the time, and frankly just couldn't afford the expense of heading out to San Francisco next week. Also, my personal game projects haven't progressed very far just yet, so I don't have much to show off. I have published my first Unity plug-in, but even that project is a bit bare-bones and could stand another coat of polish.
So I won't be enjoying everyone's company this year. I hope the rest of you have a great time. With any luck I'll be joining you next year. If all goes well with my current job, I should have a bit more of a stable situation in a years time. Meanwhile, I'll continue working hard on my various projects. The re-factoring of my Unity plug-in has been going really well.
Were having an open party on Wed. night. All you need is to have your gdc badge. Open bar. . Stop by if you're free and come check out Unreal Tournament and say hi. Would love to meet any polycounters
I'm going to be there wondering the halls and parties. Super hyped for the meetup and to see the booths this year.
Not totally sure what my schedule is since I'm hoping to attend talks this time, but if anyone wants to meet up over lunch or whatever else that'd be gravy.

Oh snap! I got to try Valkyrie last year and it was a ton of fun, so I'll have to check this out. Going to be heading straight there from the Polycount meetup.
