It's that time of year, bitches!
The conference runs March 2-6, 2015 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, with most of the real fun stuff starting on Wednesday the 4th. Registration has officially opened, so put on your thinking pants and let's start planning stuff.
Who's going?
When's the Polycount meetup?
Should there be multiple meetups?
Where's the meetup happening?
Polycount meetups in the past have been fun, but tons of people also left early because the venue wasn't right for various reasons. Lefty O'Douls, while an easy-to-find landmark, isn't equipped to deal with so many people. It gets super hot, very noisy, the food isn't great, and it doesn't have the staff to take care of several dozen people crashing the place. I suggest we find a new venue. Suggestions?
EDIT:
Important info!
The official Polycount meetup is happening on Wednesday, March 4th between 5:00pm and 9:00pm at John Colins Cocktails. Present this image at the door to get in:

Like previous years, I've put together a little map of noteworthy spots around San Francisco. It can be viewed here:

Night time at a venue isn't always the best option, if we can organise this to fit in during the day when not much is happening at the moscone, or maybe the early evening it frees everyone up to go to the various parties at night.
But I don't even know if I can/will go again.
I agree with lefty's as well, the year before it wasn't so bad but last year it was pretty nuts. Multiple meetups wouldn't be the worst idea either, there are events every night so some people are always going to have conflicts.
Xavier, do you have any recommendations? Or Waggle or any other locals? If you guys can find a place we can book I can look into it a bit more.
A during the day thing could be cool too! Even if it's not the "official" meet up. Me and some friends went to just hang out in the park the last day we were there, it was great!
It depends really. I've heard what makes the All Access Pass shine is the exclusive access to the GDC Vault which grants access to tons of talks and lectures for that respective year of GDC.
I was fortunate enough to receive an alumni discount this year which grants massive discounts on the Main Access Pass and All Access Pass. However, even with the shiny GDC Vault, the All Access Pass isn't worth spending the money on unless you REALLY need to go to the summits and tutorials.
Hopefully I'll have enough money saved this year to go go gooo
I'm checking it up, I think i'll probably go
Also I wanted to ask, can we have a full list of parties posted again?
That was really helpful at this year's GDC.
Sounds like a blast, hope to make it out there this year!

Looking forward to what you're cooking, Andrew! (Assuming it's in the format I'm thinking it is.)
Hey beefaroni, I've volunteered two years, and hoping to do a third, through the Conference Associate program at GDC. Its been a great experience and has allowed me to attend when I wouldn't be able to pay. This year is a little different; they are paying volunteers for certain legal reasons, but this does mean you have to be able to legally work in the US (in years past, there has been a lot of international CAs).
You can find the application on the website over here: http://www.gdconf.com/attend/conferenceassociates.html
I want to do a legit shanty/bar song in Lefty's this year.
I could be crazy and just do it myself out of spontanaeity, but imagine if a hanful of us did it?

I'll be staying in SF for the entire week of the conference since I'm going to be living down in LA by the time this rolls around. It's time for Hung-Over Conference Week 2015!
Who wants to meet up and check out dumb touristy shit around the city?
What talks are you guys planning on going to?
And, most importantly, who else is FUCKING HYPED for the Polycount meetup?
Edit: Also, anyone interested in a game of Magic? I mean, if we're going to make a week dedicated to nerd shit, we may as well go all out.
I get to travel overseas from Melbourne so and even just the plane trip gets me excited, let alone all the talks and parties
I missed the Polycount meetup last time I was there so that's not happening again. I don't do magic, though, but I could do some touristing and handheld gaming and partying

Anyone knows what are the temperature like in SF in march?
Is there some sort of waiting list I need to get on for this?
lololol Gav has responsibilities.
