Information: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/06/10/bloodborne-coming-exclusively-to-ps4-in-2015-new-details/
Bloodborne takes place in an ancient, forgotten city called Yharnam, known for an old medical remedy. Over the years, many hopeless and afflicted people have made long pilgrimages to Yharnam in search of help. As the main character, you are one of these travelers. However, you find that Yharnam is also cursed with a horrible endemic illness. You must navigate the perilous streets of this city, fighting off nightmarish creatures, malformed beasts and deranged mobs stricken with this horrific illness. Face your fears as you discover the secrets and mysteries of this dark and horrific world where danger, death and madness lurk around every corner. In Bloodborne, the combat is based on intense life-threatening battles. One of the ways we are bringing that sense of danger to life is by keeping the deep strategic elements from Demon’s Souls, while also transitioning from the passive and block-and-attack style of Demon’s Souls to a quicker, more offensive and active combat style with close-range weapons and guns.
Special message from Director Hidetaka Miyazaki:
“Creating Bloodborne as a completely new game on the new PlayStation 4 hardware has allowed us to really push the envelope in myriad ways. That being said, in more ways than one, it also very much retains our distinct, signature style. As has been at the core of our development philosophy since Demon’s Souls, we make true games for people who love games. Please watch for more to come on Bloodborne, and thank you very much for your support.”
Along with the change of atmosphere from fantasy to Victorian is the change of enemies, and while Miyazaki would not give exact specifics, he did say that "I don't think there will be any dragons. However, since just fighting humanoid enemies will get boring, there are other creatures. There are some creatures that not only fit the game's atmosphere, but are very much something our team would come up with, so please look forward to them."
As for online features, Bloodborne will apparently offer a "new online experience" that is based around the theme of "free sharing of exploration." However, Miyazaki stated that they were not at a stage where he could reveal more details.
Finally, asked how development was going and when we could expect to see the game on store shelves, Miyazaki answered, "Development is... let's say it's 'going smoothly.' As for release dates, we're aiming for Spring, 2015, but at present, I can't say anything more specific."
"They are replacing magic with gadgets, guns and such. Main mechanic seems to be related to blood and blood is also used to regain your HP and gain various other benefits."
"You get blood sucking it from corpses or items. Sucking too much blood will turn you into a beast which I suppose is this game’s Soul/Hollow form. The game will apparently become a lot harder to play/control when in beast mode. To become a human again you need human blood and is where the online component comes into play," reads the details from Famitsu as translated by NeoGaf user.

Soooo here we are again! Another Soul's like game set in a new universe with a "blood" theme this time. It's also a PS4 exclusive and will have elements similar to Demon's Souls.
Judging from the story so far, it sounds a lot like a Soul's game. City plagued by an infection turning people into monsters and "you" the player must go there to find answers.
Apparently it will feature real co-op, as in jump in and play with a friend without using summon signs.

I just finished Dark Souls 2. It only took 2 and half months... I'm ready for more.
The art looks bloody fantastic too on this one. Looks like From poured its resources into this one.

More leaked gameplay, get it while it's hot.
The multiplayer sounds interesting. Seems like they are finally going back to the same type of "economy" as in Demons. The thing I hated about the PVP in DS1 and DS2 was how little to gain there was from invading/gravelording other players. Unless you did it for fun or to piss people off, the extra souls/humanity was almost useless. I always felt that Demons encouraged players to partake in the multiplayer so much better.
Also, guns and gadgets are cool, fuck magic.

More mirror links in that thread including a 1080p version.
Consider me hyped. WATER BOSS?!
It definitely eases my mind to see some different weapon types in that last video. I'm pretty excited for this one, it'll definitely be fun to see what secrets this world holds.
Some more information from the Director himself
so sick, I can't wait for this game.
That said, I find it interesting how different the combat feels from Dark Souls 2. I've seen just a couple of gifs and videos, but even that shows a big improvement. I don't know what it is exactly, but the whole thing feels "snappier" again. That gif of the guy rolling is the perfect example; he goes back into an upright position as soon as the roll animation ends. It looks a bit weird, but I feel this is what made the combat in Dark Souls 1 feel so precise and satisfying.
first time I complete a souls game - always playing with cloth armor and a katana, no shields, spells or proper armor..
looking forward to a game which centers around that sort of gameplay rather than shielding every attack I've practiced for 3 games now, come at me bro!

Looking awesome.
I was confused at first by this decision, but it kinda makes sense when you look at it from a medium sized studio's perspective. From Software has made a lot of Sony exclusive titles, and probably is relying on Sony to help make them a next-gen ready game engine. Developing an advanced game engine does not appear to be their expertise, and instead they are going to rely on Sony for help, and then From Software will iterate on the engine for future multi-platform games.

Some hi-res pictures here.
Biz wise, it makes total sense. Sony needs a console seller. They have a lot of good games, and they're selling machines, but they need a game that is going to be incredibly popular and can't be had anywhere else. It's quite possible it could be their Halo.
You don't think this might change? i can see them trying to target 60 if they have time. Specially since it should become the norm.
Still like I said, Souls games are like cocaine to me. I'll get it regardless
