I have recently been working on a series of atlas nodes for both creating and reversing them. Here is an example of the custom shape version pulling out a single item from a Megascan atlas.
I just made my procedural knurled/diamond alpha material available for download for free and stuff you can make all kinds of knurled type patterns by messing with the parameters https://www.artstation.com/artwork/ybA11J
Hi, I can't able to get the desired result with tile generator, splatter, sampler etc. Every time I am using these nodes, input shapes get intersect or overlap. Should I need to make a custom node? Please help.
@shrenigameartist try using multiple tile samplers instead of one and use the previous results as mask inputs:
It's not perfect and shapes can still intersect a bit. But this way, you can control it much more. Use fewer and smaller shapes instead of filling the entire canvas at once.
Try also adding some color randomness, since it can remove intersecting shapes and make them overlap instead (even though most shapes don't overlap in your reference, some do, slightly) - this is going to be hard with the current shape you're using, since it's already shifting in tone so much:
With a flatter shape in the tile sampler, the the shapes overlap more than intersect.
Hi, I made a Stylized Tile Generator, not open to the public though (at least, not yet), but there's a ton of pictures to see what it can do, hope you like it https://www.artstation.com/artwork/baO94g
Hey everyone, here's my latest node for Substance Designer. It allows you to extract an image's Dominant Colors. Let me know what you think ! https://gum.co/DominantColors
I'm trying to make a safe rotation on the transform2d node. This gets the stepping part pretty close but I can't make it seamlessly tile. Any suggestions? I'm not very good at math.

Extract dominant colors from any image
Use the extracted colors in your graph
Quantize the colors of an image
ooo! can you control the amount of colors you can extract? Would love to use this to get palettes from film frames
Absolutely! You can extract up to 8 colors. You can also visualize the colors usin one of 3 diffetent chart types : Stacked Bars, Donut chart (see image) and Pie chart
Hey Computer Friends, I want to share with you my latest work using substance designer to generate height maps and using said maps to generate geo in houdini.
I found this tutorial very helpful, nice alternative to the splatter/distance method when you need independent random cracks that aren't interconnected. Anyone else got good methods for producing cracks? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62vCvWMzVt8
Hello! In this personal project wanted improve my skills in S.D. I try represent a weapon, with SD and PS. Full modeling in SD. More pics: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/4bmxzW
Hi! I recently managed to create a 3d procedural wood. It is designed procedurally in SD and exported as a smart material for SP. Due to it's volumetric nature it is great for texturing weapons and assets carved out of woodblock.
Hi, I am learning SD and while watching "The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf" and it got me inspired after I saw those pendants hanging. So, I wanted to try someting substance. Here's what I got and would like improve the height map more. Ant feedback be great.
