wow, amazing. this is the first time that i got 2 people to write feedback to my work...
ths alot belkun and foxclover for the words! u are totaly right with everything.
i mostly use those big sheets with everything mixed through each other just as "brainstorming board" before i go into a detail of what i wana do. so things like the courier-boxhound do not have to be more detailed as very first impression^^
i gona go for the ward concept.
about the concepting - i think u are right again, if it want to fly it should be one of those sky lanterns. but as standing ward - a hanging one with a woodconstruction might be smartest choise. i gona go more into detail for this.
thanks alot for ur time guys u are welcome
ps: if u wana join into collabo with me for this, just contact me greez!
Hey so here's an update for "sword #3" for wraith king. Its a low poly with basic normal and occlusion maps on it(just testing some stuff before i sculpt) going to be sculpting soon but should prolly fix whatever's wrong with the normal maps. I think I have an idea of whats wrong with them but if you have any suggestions please let me know.
I think that your first lamppost concept is much better than that current one. On your most recent ward concept, the lanterns and those details around the eye are too small to be noticeable in-game, and the shape that holds the eye is pretty boring.
Personally I'd go with something like this concept you did, with the lantern on a lamppost, with the eye dangling from the lantern in place of that little bead, just like you drew on the right.
I'd also suggest you to look around for some chinese lamppost references, like this one:
Having something similar to it but with just one big lantern instead of three would be much more interesting than your current idea,
oh shit, there are so many artists doing the same things for this china event... its rly madness xD every second workshop thread u go by.. chinese red lanterns ... chinese cherry trees ... jade ... kitsch ornaments. anyhow poor everyone of us creatives to allways hit for such stereotypes.
so this concept is ur final concept for ur submission? i gona change my idea to be as much away from urs as possible.

@shorkgamer well i gona change the cherry tree from cherry to a penjing style tree, and the eyes will be inside the tree itself and not in the lantern. OR i just gona let the concept fall, and dont do any chinese event thing. lets see what my team says
@kazeshini well maybe ur right - sometimes u never know with that stuff
another *clock*based wardset, name: Clockwerk Clock
up for collabo/graps
during the development of the clockwerk armor, one of the first tests with the clockwerk-technology
led to the clockwerk watcher - a supportive, non-aggressiv observer that can be also used to detect hidden foes.
since his engine was just in development stage - his running time is limited to some minutes before his fuel runs empty.
ths sukotto, and yes i know - but its too late i skipped that china idea.. i was so annoyed by everyone having the same boring ideas (including me) so i stopped. i wont do anything for the china new year
well basicly a courier and a ward can have the same territory.. depending the design.
if u create a tower - its not mobile so ofc it cant be a courier but for example that sir frosty ward (the community seems to rly like it!) it would have also possible as courier
It looks good, but would the eye be visible ingame? Because most players would know its a ward just by seeing a gigantic eye and the 45 degree view might obstruct the eye. And i'm pretty sure that wards kind of need that giant eye thing or else it won't be accepted.
But I guess you can go further with details, try to add some cool stuff on the shoulderpad, and try to think about a hat (one that doesnt block the eyeball)!
In this older version you had a great idea for the grey areas, which you used on his skirt. I think this fits Razor much better than the cracks you just added.
I like it how you added round elements to your design!
basicly those grey areas i took from razors "neck". and i also liked it^^
i just removed them cause its alot faster to do changes when the drawing is more simple.
so after all those grey parts still have the same texture.. its just cracked.
also i rly like the new *more-armorlike*chest - still im not happy with the head..
i gona go draw a littlebit more to have enough varriation to pick.

this will it be!
It seems to be branching off into a courier now.
greez
Well if you want. It just seemed to start branching off into courier territory.

what u think about that:
Andumy (modelling) and prophet9 (animation)

detailwork and variations are the next step.
(for the shoulderpad - i already got something^^)

In that case I'll just keep commenting
