I have experienced the simulation. but conceptual thinking is lame. however, not so long ago, I began work on a new model. this model is a courier. thinking over the reference design I submitted baby Naga and Slark.

I dont know, but maybe it would be worth looking at some sort of rigging plugin or script to help make your skeleton?
Also, dont know about linking bones in max, maybe the dota exporter doesnt support them - have you tried using constraints? I know they work when i use them in maya.
That is super adorable oh my goodness haha. No Slitherine courier may fail. I think the undulation of the tail might need some work, it doesn't look convincing when the courier turns 180. I'm looking forward to seeing more shots of the courier!
Looks great, although I don't really like the blue color of the flying version.
Maybe a greener tone would have fit better, because u now have 3 strong colors defining your model. Maybe also make the white color less bright, it's a bit to much.
If you want to make a tusk kid courier you should maybe make his eyes larger or something, maybe make the horns shorter. Because I thought I was looking at a concept for a tusk set at first. Push the kid theme mate :P

what software do you use for testing shader maps?
Please help me if you share your experiences.
i think it looks rather busy, look at if from the game distance i think it will not read too well
it would be much easier if the game is not forced to do a reboot after each new amendment in shader-masks.
usually for testing i start with 1 and when i'm done my items name is 11111111111111111111111

after importing smd i see that...
i make mirrored bones for simmetry. but mirrored bones turn out left side of model... =(
where is fault? bone's pivots? (

he's skelet have free bones. they connected with pearents for "link"
maybee dota dont understand Max's "links"?
