I'm thinking that if I start posting my stuff I might be pushed to finally submit something

Also I'm always looking for chances to collaborate so don't be shy.

Here's a cept for a Doom sword that some one can make if they'd like.
EDIT: Seems I need to say this, but you need permission from me to use this.

By the way, Rowinish, great concept, do you have any gallery on DA or somewhere else? And also, can you share your photoshop brushes with us?

pffffff dude, here good people, we help one to one in any matter and give advice, and all making something for dota, in that group people don't like dota, and i think only you start ingore me, because most of them (18 and more years old good people) help me whis any problem's:D

I come back and someone has made my concept with no permission... I don't even.

EDIT: Okay just got past that barely,

@stkopp Thanks for your comment, as for brushes, I just use a square brush with transfer set for brush pressure and flow at 50%.

ALSO I have more cepts I will send to people on request, I guess I can't post anything on here anymore

I guess it was my fault since I didn't want to be rude and say no, but i didn't predict that you would be rude enough to just take it without say from me. So sorry again, I am pleased you are so excited about the concept and I'm sorry you spent your time making it just to be told that your goal to make money off it is not going to happen. This is my livelihood too so please humor me.

EDIT: also I'm very impressed that you managed to finish it and get it in-game in 2 days.

No, it's none of his bad. Bottom line is you need to wait for permission from the concept artist before you start on one of their concepts. It's their work and they can allow or deny anyone they want to work on their concepts. Jumping ahead without permission almost never ends well.

Look, I feel very bad about all the work you did, so here's the deal.
You can upload the sword to the workshop as long as you give me a percentage above 20% for concept creation. BUT I also have modeled it myself and once I finish it I will put it on the workshop, so valve can decide which the prefer.

My 2 cents: Going ahead and making something without permission = bad. Using that to then emotionally blackmail the original content creator = fucking despicable. Rowinish, you have absolutely zero obligations to anybody here, if you wanna model it, model it. It's YOUR concept that was taken WITHOUT permission. If it was me, I'd say 'no' to somebody who took content without permission just purely on principle.

I must agree with everyone else. I wouldn't make that kind of deal and just ban him from publishing the item since the concept was taken without permission.

Thanks for the support guys! I finished the model yesterday and just completed the promos. Although doom's texture in his download is broken so I couldn't make a portrait.
Also silly GCFScape is broken too.

EDIT: I might still change this one up a bit. I'm not all that happy with the tip where the shattered rock is.

Whether or not someone gives you permission does not make them a "good man", it is their work and theirs to do with what they will. Don't try to justify this by saying, well sometimes it ends well if the original artist happens not to mind. Ask first and then use it once permission is giving.
