Some really nice stuff posted since i checked this thread out last. Bounchfx that axe is killer, really like the size of your bevels and how well they translate to game rez.
No new artwork to post for me today, but i did finish up a simple tutorial for basic rigging/skinning to a single bone and importing to dota2. Mostly im still working on the entire record a tutorial video process, enjoying it but feel im still working upto the quality levels needed for a larger set of them.
anyway hope its helpful to some!

And Tvidotto! congratulations on the big news! sounds like some exciting times, best wishes and hope they all go better than expected
Is it even possible to add extra bones and animation to the existing movemet animations? As i mentioned before, i want to animate the tiny spiderlegs on my broodmother back item, but I couldnt find any tutorials on the subject. If you guys know a good tut, or have done something similar, a custom animation for a spell or something, all help is appreciated. And ofc im still up for a collaboration if someone is interested.
at the moment the textures are just looking like coloured ao. bit more wear and tear could definitely go a long way. also looks like it's just a single shade of grey and pink at the moment, could probably warm the highlights up a bit
Anyway I worked a little more on the chest. I tryied to address some of the problems mentioned. I play around with the keyhole to make it a different mat, but it just wasn't coming out to my liking.
I also did a quick sketch of a key.
Also a couple of users ask for my brushes. so here they are.
I mainly use the square brush for painting and blending. Square2 is mainly the same but it has a slight texture to it and the knife brush is what I use to sketch and add sharp highlights.

The circled part confuses me in terms of shape. Maybe do something more like this?
Hey Doubleleaf, hope you don't mind but I took a quick pass at the chest (which is looking great) to attempt to add a little more pop. I thought adding a different hue might break it up a little.
Just a suggestion, thanks for taking the initiative in illustrating it. Really appreciate it.
One more update, trying to incorporate more of the critiques. Hope it looks better.
i'm also kinda missing a light direction, the light is pretty much all over the place. the greentooth is lit from the left, the teeth from the right, the top from left or/and right it's super hard to tell.
Ill just try to make the lights a little more apparent and see if I can add some finishing touches. When you work on something for a while to tend not to see a lot of things so I wait till last min to do anything final.
Zoja: I think that was the plan, radiant heroes next month.
@Hellmouth & Neox - Thanks for the critiques guys. I can definitely see what you're saying, and considered it myself before starting on the item. However most of Pudge's items are a little off kelter from much of the dota2 art (jean overalls, jason-like mask, and 20th century insane asylum equipment. not to mention his default look wears what appears to be jeans with a butchers smock). So I figured it'd be worth the bit of time it took to risk the design this time around.
Here's my thumb for this month with a link to the item page.

I added some bones and left the animation to Valve. I looked it up and it seems thats the common thing to do in this case.

Perhaps try something less stylistically jarring?
yeah i'd also say the cap feels a bit too modern, not sure when this type of wool hat made it's firs appearance.
