I wonder how many artists died from exhaustion to get that teaser ready for E3 considering EA only announced they got the rights to the Star Wars franchise a couple of weeks ago.
YES! I am so so so excited for mirrors edge 2! I think that franchise is incredibly underrated and some of the most fun I've had! It's on my top 3 games!
That and I am of course no stranger to loving some mech combat....Titanfall looks soooooo sick!
If anything, next gen is about awesome looking specular materials. PBR all the metals. Makes me really stoked to work on hard surface stuff. I did see a lot of screen space reflections though, which is nice, but a bit underwhelming considering what could have been with UE4's SVOGI...
What the hell does journey have to do with ico and sotc?
Not even in the same ballpark imo.
Have you played Journey? ICO & SotC had vastly different gameplay but they had they explored the same themes of exploration, companionship, and lonelyness and great soundtracks.
Yeah, i bought and played it through but i was hugely unimpressed with journey.
Journey was an amusing toy imo. Considering all of the technical feats made by team ico, and their amazing approach to level design that nobody has even properly attempted since, i don't think that they are even in the same ballpark. (Moving enemies as levels holy shit man)
I gotta say, I really hate the journalist crowd at e3 conferences for the past couple years. What assholes. Too lazy to just clap politely for people and games? Fuck them. You make the whole conference awkward to watch. People used to CHEER for everything. It was fun! Now you all look like cynical asses.
I can't even say how much I disagree. And this comes from the massive fan of Team ICO's games. Out of curiosity? Did you play alone, or with someone?
I finished the game for the first time while playing with some random dude. I was extremely lucky because the game wouldn't have felt the same had I finished it alone. The two-player dynamic is where this game truly shines.

Yeah there was a few strangers helping me out through the playthrough. I also watched my housemates on a few consecutive playthoughs.
In fact my housemate at the time hung out with one of the lead devs on journey at the time.
Yeah i admit it is a cool experience but i think it is a disservice to team ico to lump them together.
Maybe it would make more sense if i said that i think bastion is one of the most over hyped pieces of mediocrity the indie world has ever frothed over.
Politeness and respect for the work that has gone into it.
No. This isn't some art house expo to go and slap each other on the back, they are journalists being sold a product hopefully to get a good write up by an impressive presentation. Anyway, stuff that deserves applause is getting it.
Ubisoft is winning so far, for me. The Division looks like a pretty well done MMOFPS, I'm impressed. Always enjoy a good platformer, so I'm happy for Rayman, Watch Dogs has looked intriguing from the start, and generally all their games look pretty exciting.
3rd party controller support hinted at for iOS7 - besides PC that's the only other platform I can see myself working on in the near future so I'm intrigued.

Btw if Ubi show Beyond Good and Evil 2, well...fu.k everything else.
It's realistic sweat dripping down faces!
Garden Warfare looks like Orcs Must Die, so I loved it.
Mirrors Edge 2 could be awesome...
Battlefield 4 looked pretty sweet with that 64 player gameplay demo they did. I wanna play that.
BF4 is looking nice although much of it looks like a BF3 expansion pack. Mirror's Edge 2 made feel all tingly
So hyped.

And yea, everyone is sweaty in the future...
I kept thinking that I'm tired of MGS, but MGS V had been looking really promising so far. I guess I could have another dose of Kojima's insanity.
Why do you hurt me....
edit: I don't wanna sound Negative...but why does Ubisoft have such awkward press conferences.

Not much to cheer.
I go to my brother's high school graduation and I clap for people I've never met and never will. They can clap for a couple games being presented.

Strange comparison. Why would they? I don't applaud something I'm being sold. And certainly if it's less than impressive.

Come on Sony.. you're next!
And the host was awesome. Best one today, by far.
EDIT: When i say DAYZ. I don't mean is it going to kill me for climbing a ladder. I mean Open world MMO, scavenging, "Banditing", PvP, etc...
