My god this looks and plays beautifully! I seriously LOVE how balanced it seems, how fast yet not jarring and the amount of options they give you as the player! The titans and pilots look SO good!
You can piggy back on the back of someones titan!? Take...my...money
PC, i cant play an fps on a console, i am too oldschool, i have worked on several and have never been able to get the tactile feeling of mouse and keyboard.
I kind of liked the guy running on the walls with the propeller on his back, i can imagine it to add some fast pace combat. Trying to sign in for the Beta now
spent some time with it this morning, just the training missions, the wall running and double jumping is pretty fun! you can leave your mech and open doors for it and it has AI you can assign so it can follow you around if you want. i havent gotten too deep into it, but would be neat if you could use the mechs as turrets and assign more complex AI to it other than just follow. feels nice, but still way too slow for me, i miss the speed of quake 3
I'm curious to see how it plays. Personally I think it looks great, but a lot of the people who I know who have already gotten to try the console beta have been saying that it gets boring really quickly due to the whole AI players running around alongside human players thing.
I just hope it isn't filled with cheaters because that is pretty much the main thing ruining multiplayer gaming for me at the moment.
I dont see how having AI bots running around would make it more boring, it just gives you more to shoot, I would rather be shooting and in action than just running around. saw the 2 uncut game play vids over at ign and it looks super fun! hope it snag a key soon.
The core gameplay is a carbon copy of Call of Duty. The mech combat feels like a very sloppy Hawken, as the two aspects of the game are really not that well integrated.
I found it very disappointing. Respawn had the opportunity to do something interesting, and just made a messy derivative of the same old shit.
I had the chance to play a bit of this last night, and I was really impressed. I haven't played anything like this in quite some time. The shooting feels really smooth and very responsive, and I love the Smart Pistol! The Assassin class feels like a lot of fun, I'm not one for big guns
The Titans do feel really cool but quite squishy. It's nice though because your team tends to flock towards you to help you out when you get in a Titan. Plus it feels badass!
Need to try out the other game modes tonight. I've only tried Attrition so far and it's pretty standard TDM. The end sequence is really cool though, when the losing team have to try and escape in a Dropship, which can be destroyed by the enemy. Not sure what benefits you get for escaping, more XP perhaps?
Have been playing the PC beta quite a bit. This game is fantastic fun. More than anything this game brings the best part about FPS games back to the spotlight, the importance and variety of movement.
I've been watching some Twitch streams and it seems like I could see myself playing this for a long time, I haven't been too into COD as of late but this looks like a breathe of fresh air even with the similar-ish mechanics. I registered for the PC beta hoping to get in, if anybody can somehow get me in...that would be great haha
The HUD shows console controls, though I guess that could be pc with a controller? The game already looks great on xbone, and they're apparently increasing the resolution before release.
I don't really care for CoD multi-player, but the little bit of Titanfall I played last night was quite fun. I loved seeing all the ships up in the sky and things generally feeling like a chaotic battle was raging on around me.

Well that's unfortunate, I'll still give it a shot if I get a beta key but I'm not sure how I feel about paying $60 for a game that supposedly plays the same as CoD games which I already own.
Still, it's pretty early to determine if it's worth a purchase or not. I don't think the devs have really spoken about things like dedicated servers or mod tools yet which could justify a purchase in my opinion.
It's fun, a little buggy but pretty fun. If I turn on AA the entire world disapears and all I see is a skybox, The framerate is a little jumpy And the Textures are painfully low Rez. BUT! The game is still pretty damn fun. I applaud the fact there are bots. It makes the battles seem bigger and when You eject out of your titan in the air and land on top of an enemy titan and then you blow out it's fucking core...oh man...There aren't too many multiplayer games that give you that thrill and excitement. I actually think the mech combat is pretty fluid and slick. Traversal is surprisingly easy and feels natural and everything is so quick and moment to moment, it keeps you from having a dull moment. Would I pay $60 for this? I don't know yet...I need to know what the final product has in terms of progression and upgrades..but so far I would easily justify $40. If it was on steam probably $50.
Got my PC beta key today, after a few games......I'm sold. It's just flat out fun. I'm rarely critical of games, so I'm sure there's stuff I'm overlooking, but my philosophy is if it's fun, it's a good game. So far, it's passed that test with flying colors. I heard invites are going out in waves? So fingers crossed for those that haven't gotten them yet.

Is that true that all this is on source engine? it may be not very next next gen, but the gameplay is amazing.

Look around the city you live in - many of the buildings are between one and three hundred years old

I'm guessing, because most of their team worked on Call of Duty.
damn really? Pc or xbox one?

There website is pretty empty/broken ;')
6v6 is killing me & i can't justify the price to buy it ;/
This is from the guy with my white glint avatar mech loving craziness.

Must be on PC since the console is at 792p

Did you even play it?
Just ignore him man, he thinks it's fun to be a jerk in threads like this one.
:P
But it's a completely different engine I thought? Source Engine... COD started with id Tech 3 and built up from there.
