I'm loving it! Congrats to Tor and the MachineGames team, you all did an amaazzinnng job!
For reals though... I hope you get a shot at making (rebooting) the Doom franchise. Your team clearly understands the importance of nostalgia... but also understands where our industry / entertainment is today... while Id is off in the distant past (imo).
Some of the cinematography in this game is pretty fantastic as well, beautiful work all around!

Exactly what I was thinking while playing. If not Doom, then Duke Nukem.

just finished wolf, watching the credits now... god damn sweet mother of Christ!!! great game, loved it. Go out and get it if you haven't already. Great job guys! hats off
I got it yesterday and holy shit -- the advertising did not prepare me for this. What a really amazing game. Great artwork, great gameplay, really fun dialogue.
I was kind of expecting a pretty but brainless shooter and instead I'm playing it for eight hours hooked, then jumped into bed and kept going on my Vita.
This Game was a lot of fun but man those final few levels took ammo managment and gun juggling to new heights. that said the mech designs and hell the art in general is freakin amazing.
Yeah, I love the game, and it really showed me show current games has taught me bad gaming maners. Need to think a bit before doing something and not just Rambo the whole thing, because that will just get you killed.
Loved the cinematics, thought that the face of him in the scene in the train was really charming.
Hmm. So I just finished the game. Real nice design, a few normal map baking issues (although I was specifically combing through all the textures ).
The only mistake that really hit me is how the game was marketed. I don't know how to explain it, but I feel like the trailers portray the game as super action-y and cheesy; however, it felt like there was this whole other half that was absent from the trailers. That other half, combined with the action, is what really made the game.
I am blown away by the art in this game. Like, I feel soooo guilty running past stuff without just stopping and stairing for a few seconds. Phenominal job. The Submarine was by far my favorite level. The style was so refreshing!
about 3/4 of the way through the game on xb1. really diggin it so far, some of the missions at the home base fetch questing feels a bit like additional un needed padding, I wanna be killing nazis, not gathering a bunch of toys....
but other than that, awesome. love the dual wielding, the over the top voilence and action is great. Its kinda funny the ingame stuff looks better than the cutscenes though. really nice having the silky smooth frame rate and controls are good, except for the over sensitive weapon wheel.
great stuff from machine games congrats on shipping a really fun, awesome looking title.

this. and congrats to the machine games team!
And what Jason said. Has all the stuff I love about old shooters and none of the stuff that should be kept in the past.

I know there's been some art dumps for that game already but I just read that interview for some of the environments and LD process and it was a pretty interesting read. http://www.mapcore.org/page/features/_/interviews/interview-with-thibault-dkm-courbet-r40
