well.. you can apply the digital signature to a digital ingame item, so it shows it like real item, i guess its like the killcounter on some items (strange weapons in tf2) but instead of kill numbers it says signed by (insert inoffical valve employername here) ^^

Meh seems pretty pointless to me! I take an autograph as meaning someone has met the person. Buying an autograph to put on an item seems to serve no purpose whatsoever.

Valve has monetized this entire game with nothing but artificial indicators of status. Why does this thing here surprise anybody? If THIS didn't work, at least to some extent, none of us would be here at all.

Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome little feature for you guys to autograph stuff and the fact that you are like celebrities in the Dota 2 world is really cool. I'm just saying that I personally don't think autographs have any value ingame unlike cosmetic items, maybe my opinion would change if I played the game more.
I just thought I'd stop in here and say that the grand finals were the greatest series of not just dota, but any game, I've ever seen. I don't think it will ever be topped, and if it is it won't be for a long time, just wow.
This was fabulous. I met so many people at the workshop, got so many signatures ... One of the best parts of TI3. Thanks so much for chatting with me, it was seriously the experience of a lifetime!
TI3 was, allllllllllllllright, I guess. I think I had more memorable things happen outside of the event then during. Hanging out with Bounchfx was awesome, and the streets of downtown seattle really put you in very interesting one of a kind moment situations haha! That last game with Na'Vi and Alliance though, hot dayum! That was a blast! Holy hell!
