With Valve officially announcing The International 3 I figured it would be a good time to figure out exactly how many of us are going and possibly organise meet-ups and such! It would be really cool to match some faces to usernames and hang out and watch some sweet doters!
Tickets aren't on sale yet but Valve seems to be indicating that more info will be released in the next few days (possibly next patch day?) so keep an eye out for that, apparently they sell out really fast!
Polycount International 3 Attendees:
- BrontoThunder
- Danidem
- bouchfx (Maybe)
- Primrose (Maybe)
- Chaemirix
- Frump
- Tvidotto
- AndrewHelenek + Beers
- Hopefully many more!

This year is five days, though, as opposed to three days of the years prior so I could be more. No idea.
I am certainly going to attend because I only live a few hours away from Seattle and it should just be a short trip over. If it's 5 days long, I don't know yet how many days I will stay, I'll figure that out later.
I think if we get enough of us, we should try to get a tour of Valve HQ.
The most popular set amongst pro players in recent memory is the Inscrutable Zeal set for Rubick.
The Rough Rider set for Batrider is pretty popular too.
I'll most likely being going again this year. Trip pays for itself so why not?
were are you guys planning to stay?
Count me in, first round of beers are on me!
I was looking at the Hotel Seattle. It's basically around the corner from Benaroya Hall and one of the cheaper hotels in the downtown area. It's supposed to be kind of a run down place, but I mostly just want to be in there to sleep.
For those that are going, have fun!
Mark your calendars. Apparently the tickets sold pretty fast last year.
They sold fast because they were released in small batches. As I recall they barely or didn't even sell out all of them.
That being said, this year should be bigger. I'd expect them to sell out in a matter of hours instead of seconds like the batches were.
And of course I'm in! Can't wait to meet everyone there!
Yeah, if you want to get a ticket definitely stay up late/wake up early/just... be away in the afternoon depending on your timezone. Someone on Reddit made this helpful chart:
I would love to animate an international courier!
im up to some cheap place too!
@zaphk
gogogo, we can make a brazilian group there! with flags! =]
@daniden great idea, keep us updated =]
Once I've bought my ticket and booked my flight I'm going to start looking for a place to stay - we could easily find a house to split between four or so of us.
Not the best sign, 33 minutes before tickets go on sale.
I'm also glad to be up at 4 am.
Spent a good hour and a half pressing refresh on multiple tabs and in the client, until this popped up. Blows so god damn much. Why didn't valve limit ticket sales to 1 per steam account? =/
Whats worst is you can sell them on the marketplace.
inb4 they are sold for $100+
They're getting sold, too. Or removed..
