Valve, I am disappoint. They want us to print our tickets out onto pieces of paper. That is so un-Valve-like. I want them to scan my steam account from a QR code on my phone or something crazy like that. I don't want to have to go to a kinkos to print this one thing out.
Oh man, the drama over on the reddits was delicious. 90% of people were going off on Blizzard for their poor scheduling since TI3 is gonna be the biggest eSports event in history, people who don't usually watch a lot of Dota 2 (read: the Starcraft crowd) will want to tune in.

I mean, it's not really a competition, most Starcraft fans are angry because they wanna watch both but the fact that a) Blizzard scheduled 3 major Starcraft tournaments on the same day making it nigh impossible to watch them all and b) TI3 is the biggest eSports event EVER makes TI3 the default winner. It's not as much of a 'us vs. them' as it is a 'Blizzard dun fucked up'
What i find amusing is Blizzard's claim that it was both unintentional and unavoidable...because, you know, if you have to choose which e-sports event has to overlap with your most important one, it only makes sense that it would be the BIGGEST ONE EVER.

except that blizzard has irons in the fire that are direct competition to valve's works....
so it's like scheduling the world series during the superbowl after a whole bunch of baseball players become football players. and claiming you meant no ill will.

And I see no other reason to cram all of those games into such short a time other than trying to take viewershiop from TI3...it makes no other sense.
Does anyone else have an extra ticket? I am available to go for Saturday and Sunday but I wasn't able to get a ticket during the sale despite my best efforts, and now the prices are ridiculous to the point that I can't justify $400 on top of $800 for travel.

I am not surprised they are doing something like this, it's a really cool idea. Kind of sucks that they kept it secret and invite-only though, unless that's not the case, but I am assuming they've already set it up with people.
Has anyone booked a tour of Valve for themselves or all of us as a group? We should try to do that, even though it's a bit short notice now.

Hey TV, unfortunately they're full up . I found a hostel for friday night when I arrive a few miles away, but saturday night I'm still homeless haha. Gonna wing it I guess, hopefully some hostels will have vacancies/cancellations as we get closer to next weekend. See you there!!
