Thanks guys , yeah I gotta agree after seeing it with fresh eyes . I will work on the colors , maybe adding some blues or making the bone parts way darker

Maybe try a wooden pirate that has been weathered by the sea? Or atleast some sort of stiff material(stone?)
For the spikes, you should either do what verticla mentioned, or have the base a dark saturate color and then a gradation to a light brown.
The dodo looks amazing but it may be just me but the eyes are too strong. Maybe change it to a brown or a blue, it distracts me from looking at the other parts of the dodo

Only problem in my opinion is dead pirate. I don't know if valve will go for it. Two reasons, one is that he is dead, second is his skull. Both related to China
Vertical: Ty for the paintover ; made some test with the ligther scales ,but I didnt liked them ( its too bright and it washes out the details ingame), I like it darker with more specular to apear wet .

Yeah it might be an issue , but it will be ok for our version(western) , the actual dead fish is preety scary aswell with bones sticking out . Its all separate from what I know.
Nice set! The club is my favorite part of it. The spikes however, although they are done well I don't like the positioning of some of the spikes such as the head and arm slots.

I might change the pirate body's coat to a dark blue , but thats preety much it
